CRASH & BURN

ROXETTE

You've got to hurry. You'll be late. Come on, move it. Grab your coat, you'll need some cover. It's cold out and you've got some stuff that only he'll see. You're supposed to meet him in five minutes. You're late. Let's go, let's go, let's go! That's right, put it in your pocket and make sure it's hidden. Wait, you forgot to lock the door. That's right; you don't want anyone getting in…

Don't run, dear, you'll slip. The side walk is icy; you've got to be careful. Make sure the safety lock is on. You've only got one bullet, don't waste it. You're late now, you were supposed to meet him a minute and a half ago, but he'll wait and you know it so keep up that pace but not too fast, dear. We can't afford a fall.

He's in the distance. Can you see him? He's smiling. He's so happy to see you! You've got to be careful! Don't run too fast! Don't let him feel the metal as you hug him. Oh no, your jacket's come undone. Hide that gun, dear. He'll see it. Smile for him. Smile for him and make it sincere. You care about him, remember?

"It's so good to see you." Smile with your words. Make him smile back. Make him enjoy his last moments.

"I missed you." He missed you, see? He missed your freezing cold hands, stained with blood that he can't see. He loves your blush from the cold. Don't pause now! Don't let anything stop you! You came here for a reason.

"I loved you." You lie so well now, dear.

"I hated you." He speaks the truth, dear, but don't let it get to you.

"I hate you now."

Whip out that gun, dear. Hurry, while no one's looking. You hear that bang? You hear that crunch as he hits the ground? You hear that splash as he lands in a pile of his blood? It's wonderful isn't it? But you can't stand and stare. You've got to get off the scene. Surely someone heard the shot and you're in the middle of a danger zone now. His blood's on your hands along with fifty others.

That's right. The gun's not loaded now. You can run. You're not in any danger. Run, dear. Run as fast as you can because you've got to get out of there. You're not a suspect yet. Don't become one. Unlock the door dear. Don't look suspicious. Get inside. Hurry. Lock the door behind you. You can't let them in.

Take some deep breaths. You're safe now. You've got to mark him off your list while you remember. Get the red marker; it stands out most. Scribble his name on your wall. Hurry; make it worth your while. Add it to your wall of what you've done and who's killed you. Make a list of who you've killed in return. Wait, why are you scribbling your name on the wall too? Wait, stop! What are you doing? You haven't got another bullet, dear. You're hopeless. Wait…where did that come from? Put that down!
