Shikadai did a long gape as he stared at the blue cloudless sky.
He was walking in the streets of Konohagakure when should be in training camp a one hour ago, but ended up falling asleep, leaving his laziness win again.
And now he was late.
If it were up to Shikadai, he wouldn't train more that day, but his mother practically threw him out of the house, saying he needed practice his jutsu of shadows.
How troublesome…
He turned his attention to the sky, feeling sad about the absence of clouds to look at.
And without realizing it, the boy ended up bumping into someone. Someone with a thin voice that made a small "kya" after bumping into him.
Shikadai looked at the little Uzumaki Himawari now sitting on the floor in front of him, and quickly all his worries about the weather and clouds were forgotten.
"Hi, are you okay?" he asked, as the girl accepted his help to get up.
Always be a gentleman, Shikadai. Was what his daddy constantly said. And although he thinks most women a huge botheration, Shikadai had to admit that Himawari was exactly the opposite.
And that was weird, specially taking into account the girl's brother was very noisy and incredibly stupid.
"Yes, thank you" Himawari said in a soft way, her face reaching a reddish color very quickly.
"What are you doing here alone?"
Himawari scowled, making a pouting. Seemed angry. Shikadai controlled the impulse to smile at her. She was really cute like that.
"Boruto nii-san has forgotten me!"
"As expected… he's really stupid"
Shikadai sighed without knowing how to handle the situation. He couldn't let Himawari just by herself. It was getting dark, soon would become dangerous to walk around at night, especially for a girl like her.
"Are you hungry?"
"Yes… Why?" Himawari asked curiously.
Well… he was already very late for his training anyway. It wouldn't hurt to take advantage of that and go eat some dangos.
"There's a dangos tent near here which is good. Let's go, after that I'll leave you at your home".
Now he would have a great excuse for miss the training, he was helping the Hokage's daughter, after all.
"This is… like… a… a date?"
But Shikadai wasn't prepared for that question.
He immediately stopped walking, frozen in his place and looking very surprised.
"I… I'm not… I…" He didn't even know what to say. Shikadai wanted to deny it, he never thought of Himawari like that, she was young, after all. Just like him.
But… then why he could not say it?
"It's okay" the little Uzumaki spoke quickly, seeing how he was uncomfortable and surprised.
She gave a grin, while now held his hand, pulling him to the dangos tent.
Shikadai took back what he thought earlier. Even Himawari could be troublesome for him.
