Steven was showing Peridot and Connie around the temple. Next stop was the Bubble Room. "Garnet usually comes in here," he explained "But this is where all the bubbles come after we poof the corruptions and/or fusion mutants." Steven looked over at 2 pink bubbles that were close to each other. He began to climb up one of the tubes. That's when Connie inturrupted Steven's thoughts.
"What's that blue box?" Connie asked. Steven looked over to see a blue box that began to glow.
"What the-" Steven was cut off by a glow blinding him.
"Ow, my head." Steven complained as he looked over to his comrads. How did we get to the beach? he thought. One thing was for certain, he had an odd feeling he shouldn't be here. He replayed what happened in his head, the blue box glowing and now they were at the beach. Steven got up and began to pat Lion. Lion woke up and gave Steven a yawn before it stood up and shook itself out.
Steven waited till the girls woke up so they could look around. First one to wake up was Connie. "Steven? How did we get to the beach?" She asked rubbing her eyes.
You spoke my mind, Steven wanted to say but he didn't. "I have no idea but right now I want to go looking around." Steven said. Peridot woke up and looked like she was challenging an invisible foe.
"Where are we?" Peridot asked. Steven remembered, the only time Peridot had been out on the beach it'd been raining and she only stayed out on the deck.
"We're on the beach." Steven aswered her.
"Beach?" Peridot asked.
"There's no time to explain." Steven said. "Right now I want to find out what's going on with that blue box."
"As do I," Connie said, "I've no idea what it did, but I want to find out what happened."
Steven got onto Lion. "First I want to see the temple." The others climbed on.(It took a while for Lion to let Peridot on.) And off they went. They hadn't made it to the temple but rather a fence surrounding it. The fence was like the one that his dad described when he went to go find Rose.
"Well?" Peridot asked. "Don't just stand there, climb over it!"
"No, I need to check something first." Steven said as he steered Lion back to the heart of Beach City. He got off of Lion in front of "The Big Donut."(mainly because Lion refused to budge.) Might as well get the usual while I get some Lion Lickers for him. Uch, Lion Lickers… Steven thought as he went in. "Sadie, Lars?"
Steven asked around. He saw Sadie working alone. She looked over when she heard her name.
"Can I help you?" She asked.
Steven was about to say 'the usual.' but instead he went with "1 strawberry donut and 15 Lion lickers." He gave her enough money to get 20 Lion Lickers. "Keep the change." He said. He felt as if he had to help her much similar as to when Lars had faked a back injury.
When he came out he saw Lion was gone. Darn it Lion, Steven thought. He walked insitctivly to the temple before he heard Connie. "Steven, come on. The temple's blocked off remeber?" Steven nodded befor looking at all the Lion Lickers he had.
"Have you seen Lion?" He asked her.
"No, I haven't. I think he ran off."
"We'd better find him! Wait where's Peridot?"
"She went looking for him and I've been looking for her." Steven face palmed and groaned. "Sorry." Connie apologized.
"It's not your fault. Let's just find those rascals before they get into trouble."
