A Captain answeared pray
Captain Dobey first pulled up the blanket on the young man who laid in the hospitol bed asleep He than turn and pulled up the blanket on the young man who was asleep on the chair. Looking up as he heard the door open. He held his finger to his lip as the nurse came in. She smiled at the sleeping men as she took her patience vitals. "They fell asleep on you I see, " she said softly. Dobey smiled sitting down on the chair between the two. "That's ok we got the time they both tired ." He watches as she first brushes the Hair out of Starsky eyes and then out of Hutch." Maryann, I want to thank you for everything you did not just for David but for Ken too." He said "It was not hard. All of us nurses knew if we lost David we were lose Ken too. To be honest we kind of envy of the love they have for each other." Maryann said "You right if Dave would have died I know Ken would have followed. I would have lost both of them." Dobey said Maryann look at the large man who she got to know over the last couple of months. "They love you as much as you love them." She said. He looks up to her then back to the two men. "I don't know how these two worms the way into my heart but your right. They might sometimes make my blood pressure boil. But they are two of the best cops I have known. They have the biggest hearts they care about people. If I lost them part of my heart would have died too. I love them like they were my sons." He said "They lucky to have you. I have to finish my rounds I come see them before the big day tommow." Maryann said leaving.
When he was alone Captain Dobey studies his boys sleeping faces he smiles when Starsky moan a little ffrom pain, without even waking up Hutch reached and took his hand in his own. Starsky than sighed and the pain Dobey had seen on his face smooth out. Even in sleep, they were connected. Dobey thought about the next day after three long months Starsky was going home. He still had a long road ahead the future of being a cop was unknown. But Dobey knew he would be alright because Hutch would be with him every step of the way and if Starsky could not be a cop any more than Hutch would resign Dobey had no doubt of that.
Dobey closed his eyes and softly pray "Heavenly Father, I thank you for given David back to us. Thank you for being strong for Ken please God watch over them when Dave continue to heal please let them know they are not alone and that there a lot of people that love them there in heaven with you and here. Thank you for not taking Dave you know how much he is loved and needed here please continue to watch over them. Amen"
At that moment up in heaven four angels listen to Captain prayed. Two beautiful women and two men. The smaller of the two women look up to the elder angels "May we go?" she, asked. " It is against the rules just one time go "The younger of the two men said the two women quickly vanish. The two elder angel look back down to Earth. "I know it hard for you Michael but David is still needed down there my Grandson needs him," the older angel said, "I know Richard they need each other I am just thankful they have him to watch out for them," Michael said watching as the two women appeared in the hospital room.
Captain Dobey open his eyes and could not believe what he was seeing as the angels stood over his boys. The smaller one with blown hair gently kisses Starsky forehead the beautiful blond kiss Hutch 's they both look up to him. "We will always watch over them Captain as you do." They said before vanishing. Dobey smiled "I promise Terry Gillen I will always watched over them." He whispered knowing his prayer had been answered his boys were being watched over and loved not just on Earth but in Heaven too.
