Disclaimer: I do not own any of these characters, however I am still
killing them off...don't ask why...
I watched as he fell, a small smile still on his face.
Everything seemed so wrong...
How could something so horrible look so beautiful?
His strikingly green eyes shone like cut glass. Their vast pools of green sucked me in with the overwhelming amount of emotion they held.
I watched as a tear trailed down his pale cheek, running over his red lips. It made them glisten.
Why was he smiling? Did he want to leave me here?
Red wisps of hair fell across his face. The brilliant scarlet made him look even paler.
You could almost see the life fading from his face.
He fell so slowly. His hands at his sides to brace for the impact.
Finally he lay there crumpled...How did this happen?
Still I watched my face twisted in unbelievable grief.
I could feel my eyes burning with hot tears, I tried to conceal them, even as they ran down me face.
"No..." My voice came out in a hollow whisper.
He blinked slowly up at me, and tried to hide the pain he felt. I wished I could take away all his pain.
His slender, yet masculine hand rose from his side reaching out to me.
My legs felt like rubber, as I stumbled over to him, then fell to my knees at his side.
I grabbed his hand with my own, and squeezed it gently.
"Don't leave me...please," He managed to gasp out.
His breaths were now growing fainter from his early ragged ones.
My tears dripped off my face onto our clasped hands.
He blinked, his smile turning sad.
"Don't cry for me...I'm not worth it."
I leaned forward, and buried my face in his chest. I couldn't stop from shaking.
"D-don't say that...I-I love you!"
He tightened the grip on my hand, causing me to look up at his tired countenance.
"I love you too..."
His voice trailed off, and his eye-lids grew heavy. That magnificent smile fading from his face.
I gathered his wounded body in my arms, and cradled him gently. My love was gone...
I held his face with my hand, and caressed his cheek. This time when I leaned down I brushed my lips against his.
"Good Bye..."
End
This one was a little sad I admit, but happier than some I write. The only reason I wrote this is because I was reading a story, and they described Kurama's eyes as glimmering emeralds. Then I had the overwhelming urge to write a story so I could describe Kurama's eyes as cut glass. I just love saying that when describing eyes. To have that in at least some kind so setting I wanted to write a short story. Then a sad song came on the radio, and Wham! One depressing story coming up. Luckily the song ended before I could make Yusuke kill himself ne?
