"You do like him don't you." Dinah told Zatanna while sparring in the weight room.

"What... Um... No I... Don't like him." zatanna replied while throwing uppercut but then getting dodge by canarys arm. Then she threw zatanna to the ground and pinned her.

"Not bad but lasted longer than last time." said dinah while whipping the sweat off her forehead.

"Thanks but I still can't beat you." she basically growled. Every time they sparred she would lose against black canary.

"But anyways are you sure I mean all the time I see him you just act differently. Come on be honest. I've known you for years." she told zatanna knowing that zatanna kept crushing on conner she would act differently.

"Fine! I do but I'm sure he has a girlfriend somewhere. Out of all the girls you think he would pick me." zatanna replied while getting her water bottle and drinking it.

"Trust me I say you have a chance, conner isn't really worried about how people look. Plus I heard he is going to be here with superman." said dinah then they walked out of the training room to head to the showers because they were soaked with sweat.

"Oh, and I invited conner to come with us to the mall. I know it's not his thing but I asked him to. And well he promised me to be there and you are coming with me." she told zatanna, separating to their rooms.

"You what! Why? I can't believe you told him." Zatanna sighed. "I hate you."

"No you love me but anyways I haven't told him the time so you're gonna tell him. I think he's at the control room with superman so good luck. Oh and at 5:30 tell him as well." Dinah basically sang to zatanna just to annoy her.

"Fine," she mumbled. "I'll tell him." And with that they headed to their rooms.

After zatanna took a shower she changed into her civilian clothes a black jeans and a purple tank top with her red vans.

"God dammit dinah." she said. Who knew how long dinah knew about her crush on conner. Well zatanna also knew how other members of the league even some of the older members liked conner. She also thought what if he doesn't like her or what if he already has a girlfriend. But maybe just maybe there was a chance for her. She knew that who wouldn't fall for him he was good looking and she knew him for a long time.

So once dinah texted her to not forget to tell conner about supposedly helping them out.

Zatanna headed to the control center where most members were at.

Control center

"Here we go." She told herself. She saw superman talking to superboy, batman,and wonderwoman. She waited for them to leave so she could get conner away from the others she was so nervous.

Superman saw her waiting for a good five minutes.

" Zatanna do you need something?" superman asked with the same voice of a worried father.

"Um... I just um...Needed to ask something."

Oh god she was going to have to tell him in front of them.

"Uh huh, well then let it out young one." said wonderwoman with her arms crossed. The four of them just stared at her.

"Well um you see its to con-conner." Conner just looked at zee with an eyebrow raised and started walking towards her.

"What's up zee." Conner said as he stood in front of zatanna and looked in zatanna's eyes.

She looked backed into his eyes she felt butterflies in her stomach.

Do-do you remember um promising that we would go out you, me, dinah and artemis!

She got nervous she didn't realize she yelled it out.

"Yeah I know." he looked back to see the three members standing behind him. Wonderwoman just raised an eyebrow, superman looked surprised, and batman didn't really care.

"Well um yeah we're going at 5:30, Kay." She was hoping for him to have a mission somewhere or someone to end this now.

"Sure I'll be there zee."

"Yeah! We'll be waiting." she said and saw how superman just stared awkwardly.

She started walking back to her room while feeling her heart still pounding almost out of her chest.

Control center

"So conner you and zatanna a couple." Superman asked, since it was just conner and clark left at the control room.

"No." and the conversation stopped right there. Then a few moments of awkward silence went by.

"You know she likes you. Give her a chance conner. You still having feelings for megan don't you?" clark knew it was a touchy subject, but conner was just either working or protecting the world or he just stayed at his apartment.

"Yeah I'll try but no promises. Let's just put megan aside." Conner replied and having memories of megan come back to him.

"Listen kon were brothers just don't be afraid to express yourself to me or ma or pa. Anyways go have fun I'll cover for you." Conner was going to object but just turned away from the screen with the other heroes missions on it and left.

"What did you tell him clark." said wonderwoman while floating in front of him.

"Just that he needs to go out have fun he still young. When I was his age I- but then she was cut off.

"I know clark, he'll be fine."

"I hope so, I hope so."

Conner headed to his room to get room once he entered he saw his usual room there wasn't really anything in there since he had his own apartment in metropolis but in this room all he had was a closet with a few shirts and pants, he had a small plasma tv there, and there was a mini black fridge there and his bathroom. All of the walls in his room were white color just really simple he didn't care about it really.

He was remembering about where they were headed to. He didn't even know why he agreed but he had known dinah for a long time, since the young justice team but now he was a full league member. Dinah had been to him as a mother figure to him so he supposed it would be the kindest thing to do and not reject the offer.

He saw the clock it was almost time but then he heard someone knock on his door.

He got up not putting on his shirt and opened it.

"Hey zee." he said when he looked her up and down quickly and noticing she was wearing a black short short and a purple shortsleeve shirt with her red vans.

"Hu-hu-hi conner." She said, she was lost when he opened the door and saw that he was shirtless, oh she thought that built body and that face.

He saw her staring at his body. He just decided not to question because it had happened many times when he was shirtless so would either not care or would just lose themselves towards him.

"Umm... Zee you ok." He let her in and she sat on his bed feet dangling meanwhile he put on his black button up shirt and his dark blue slim jeans.

"What yeah yeah I I I'm f-fine." It's that we're going to meet her at dinah's apartment so we can head off to artemis after."

"Sure let's go." he said, he opened his door and let her out first.

"So um conner, sorry for annoying you earlier. I know you guys had big league stuff but you see if I didn't tell you dinah was gonna be mad."

"Zee it's fine. It wasn't really important and it didn't bother anyone but maybe, batman, well now that I think of it he always seems pissed." He replied.

She giggled and said, "with batman we can never tell."

"Yeah." he said and grined at her.

Did he just smile? At me. This is gonna go good today, she thought.

The headed to the zeta tubes and left.

Dinah's apartment

Dinah heard two knocks on her door.

She knew who it was because she told them to arrive early.

"Artemis thank you for making it I know it's not your forte but come on it'll be fine. Where's wally?"

"It's cool, plus I needed to get out of my well, our house and wally he's in the car parking."

"Well then get in here. We can leave wally outside what do you say artemis."

"Seems fine to me, he can handle himself for awhile." The two heroes headed inside her apartment. Dinah was wearing a light blue skinny jeans and a white blouse with small thin blue stripes going horizontally. Artemis was wearing a black short short and light orange shirt.

"So why are you doing this again?" she asked as they sat on the dark brown two person sofa facing the 42 inch plasma

"Because zatanna is into conner and we'll he has liked her but to some certain point he just really never acted on it and we're friends so we need to help them." Dinah said as she got up and grabbed two water bottles and tossed one to artemis.

"Oh, so that's why, what happened to her and Dick weren't they the perfect couple."

She asked opening her water bottle.

"Yeah but I don't know what ended their relationship all I know is Dick is just dating people, and I heard he tried with hawk girl, and to make things he's getting married so I've heard."

"MARRIED! Since when? Why don't I know about this?" artemis asked almost spitting the water out of her mouth.

"Yeah I know right how could he not tell us

not even invite us. I guess it's gonna be private and conner already has an invitation and he's going to be the best man."

"How come we weren't invited what about wally. They've been friends since like forever!" she replied with an upset look on her face.

"I wish I knew why or maybe he'll give the invitations later but that still doesn't mean that he shouldn't tell us." she answered back, and then got up and answered her phone.

"Zatanna the third apartment on the second floor, did conner come with you, perfect." The door opened and wally, conner, and zatanna came in through the door.

"Hey you guys!" said dinah as she got up and hugged them first to wally than to conner and zatanna together. Artemis got up and hugged kon and zatanna.

"Hello everybody." zatanna exclaimed after being released from the hugs.

"Hi." Conner said serious as ever.

"Hello there ladies! and conner." wally said as he fist bumped conner.

"Relax baywatch. You don't stand a chance against conner." she said as everyone laughed and smiled.

"Ah you wouldn't leave me for him would you baby?" wally said as he began act as a cute pet.

"In a heartbeat, so don't start it."

Wally headed to the couch and artemis took her chance and smacked him in the back of his head.

"Ow! What was that for?" As he started to massage thr spot he was smacked.

"For being such a pig." she said smirking ar his face.

" You guys are meant for each other. There is no way you guys can't live without each other." zatanna said as they all headed to the door.

"Alrighty let's go, my car is the white Nissan versa. Kon you drive." Dinah said as she got a black leather jacket.

"Dinah we'll take our car and follow you guys." artemis said as they were going down to first floor.

"Perfect conner take zatanna and we'll meet you there later ok." Dinah said. Oh she had this whole thing planned out. They were going to ditch them in the mall. For some reason dinah really liked zatanna as a daughter.

"Um sure, what do you say zee." Conner answered but always let other people decide he never really cared about small things.

Zatanna turned from talking to artemis and turned her head towards conner." Me? "

"Yeah zee."

"Uh yeah sure, we'll meet you there" zatanna said blushing red as conner just put an arm on her shoulder as a friendly gesture but zatanna took it beyond the friendly gesture.

Conner opened the car door for zatanna and she got in and conner went around to the drivers side and started to make there way to Star City Mall.

This is going perfect they are going and zatanna and conner are stuck together, Dinah thought.
