FIRST INUYASHA FIC!!!! 8D
Kagome couldn't sleep.
She had tried, and failed, several times already. So, here she sat, in the doorway of her home, staring up at the moon. It was approaching a new moon, much to InuYasha's distaste. The thought of the silver-haired hanyou brought a smile to her lips.
Kagome loved that man with all her being. On the day she was finally able to pass through the well, after three long years, it had been no surprise to her that he was the first one to meet her.
Nearly a month after her arrival, she found that she would not be able to return to the modern world again. She had been hesitant to try, lest she be again trapped there, without her friends in the Sengoku Jidai. The discover that she would likely never again see her family hurt, but Kagome soon realized that she would never have been truly happy there.
Her life was here, as it had been from the moment she stumbled across that odd boy bound to the Goshinboku.
Soft footsteps sounded from within the house, and Kagome turned. InuYasha stood above her, an eyebrow raised in question. "You're going to get sick if you sit out here all night." Her husband said.
Kagome shrugged and smiled, struggling to her feet. InuYasha slid an arm around her waist, his clawed hand coming to rest gently against her enlarged stomach. Kagome placed her own hand over his and leaned her head against his shoulder as he guided her back to inside.
Their unborn child kicked inside her, and Kagome winced slightly, but still smiled. InuYasha, in a display of affection reserved for their moments alone, kissed her temple softly. "Let's go back to bed."
short as hell, i know, but hey, at least i got it out. it's nearly 1 am. woooo!

EDIT: Thanks to Katsumara for pointing out my fail-tacular use of Katara instead of Kagome at one point...I would have never noticed it. XD
