A/N I was rereading the 3rd Harry Potter book the other day, and I came across The name Davey Grudgen (pg 186 para 9) I don't think anyone has done a fic on him, so I thought I'd give it a try. I don't like it much myself, but you have fun! :)
A/A/A/N (Another annoying author's note): I'm not sure if Lucius Malfoy and Davey Grudgen were at Hogwarts at the same time or not. I'm not sure if Grudgen was in Slytherin either. So I made up a lot about him. All they say is that he almost lost an eye! By the way, Davey's POV.
Almost Harmless? Hah!
Tap, tap, tap. The steady sound of my footfalls echoed against the empty Corridor floor. So maybe I was supposed to be in History of Magic... Binns is so old anyway. He won't miss me.
I hurried the rest of the way, hoping not to be seen. Was the stupid dare worth it? My thoughts drifted back to the night before.
I had been sitting in the common room, minding my own business. I heard someone come up behind me. It was Lucius. I turned around slowly, trying not to look scared. He could talk me into anything, he has really good insults. I admire him. that's why I'm like his slave. The entire Slytherin house seems to belong to him. Shudder.
I asked as calmly as I could. He just stood their, face expressionless. he started talking suddenly. You know the willow? Down on the grounds?
I nodded slowly. I was wondering, would you do something for me? Now their was mocking in his voice. I looked at him, trying not to look scared. It showed through. What do you want me to do? My voice was clearly shaking with fright now.
Well, I'll bet you anything, you can't touch the trunk- I interrupted suddenly. I could! I'll do it tomorrow if you want! It's only a stupid tree. I wanted desperately to prove myself worthy, although it was the stupidest dare I'd ever hear d. It was so pointless.
Why had he come over to me? Just to get me to got to the mad willow? a pointless question. I'd do it.
Now I had excepted the dare. I was looking out the window, on the second floor. I could see the womping willow from here. Should I do it?
A Voice was drifting down the hall. I could tell it was a Gryffindor. Probably that group of goody-goodies. James something, wasn't it? Like Black was his last name. Or What-his-face Peti-something. Who cares! They're all the same.
I didn't want to be seen. The Gryffindors were having break. They'd know I was supposed to be in class. I backed against the window. There was a crash. Then blackness.
Silence. White, hot pain was searing through my arm, causing me to twitch. I couldn't think.
Something lashed out at my head, leaving a gash across my eye. I couldn't see. Another crack, and my back seemed to give out. I was under the womping willow.
The pain was unbearable. My head was spinning. A little branch caught my broken arm, breaking it again and again. A Humongous branch caught me in the head again. All I heard was an nsane laughter, ringing through my ears. All went black.
When I awoke, only my left eye would open. Lucius was standing over me, outlined in white. He was grinning maliciously. You've been knocked out for a week. He seemed happy. No one is aloud near it unless they want to be expelled. It's because of you. I didn't understand. What are you talking about? He smirked The womping willow, you imbecile.
I noticed no one else was in the room. Where is everyone? The last thing I would ever hear was a snigger.
