I do NOT own Yu-gi-oh, or the original poem, Annabel Lee.

@@@@@@@@@@@

It was many and many a year ago
In a kingdom by the sea,
That a duelist there whom you may know
By the name of Yami Yu-gi -
And this duelist lived with more other
Thoughts,
To duel and to be dueled by me.

I was a duelist and he was a duelist
In this kingdom by the sea;
But we dueled with a love that was more than
Love -
I and my Yami Yu-gi -
With a love that to Pegasus in his castle,
Tortured him and me.

And this was the reason that, long ago,
In this kingdom by the sea,
A wind blue out of a cloud, chilling
Yami Yu-gi
So hired men came,
And bore him away from me,
Shut him up in a prison
In this kingdom by the sea.

Pegasus, happy in his castle,
Went on torturing him and me
Yes! - That was the reason (as all duelists know
In this kingdom by the sea)
That a wind came out of the cloud by night
Chilling and Killing my Yami Yu-gi.

But our duel love was stronger
Than those older than we-
Than those far wiser than we-
And neither Pegasus in his castle above,
Nor the duelists around me
Can ever dissever my soul from the soul
Of the great Yami Yu-gi

For the moon never beams without bringing me dreams
Of the wonderful Yami Yu-gi
And the stars never rise, but I feel the bright eyes
Of the wondrous, Yami Yu-gi
And so, all the night-tide, I lie down by the side
Of the mysterious-of the wondrous-my friend and my love
In his prison by the sea-
In his tomb by the sea.
