Its not a surprise when Stiles finally admits that he's Bi. After years of being on the bench at practically every lacrosse game its hard not to be. Sweaty muscular guys that all have sex and adrenaline rolling off of them. Oh and his best friend is well built plus even without a Werewolf nose you can smell sex all over Scott(its funny how his mom was clueless...then she let it go) which is awesome for Sexually Frustrated Virgin Stiles!
It's not a surprise when the only girl you chase after puts you down in a very elegant manner and every other night or so you're running through God forsaken lands trying to help Werewolves and especially this one Alpha-Derek. If you somehow look past those overly long claws, canines, and brilliant red eyes then you've got a hot mass of muscle!...Well...glaring muscle that can carve diamonds from just a mere glance...
Its not a surprise when Derek slams him into a wall to yell and be the agressor he is and has always been, when Stiles launches forward and kisses the Sour wolf. Maybe just maybe if Derek hadn't been so upset then he could've blocked. Maybe-Could've.
I'm not quoting any lines here but sometimes if you really want something you've got to grab it when you have a chance. An especially slim one for Stiles but, because Stiles is afraid of Super-quick Werewolf reflexes he did not pounce on Derek while he was sitting in his chair or coming in and out of his window. He wasn't even sure about his sexuality yet.
Its not a surprise that Derek kisses him back. Honestly, Who In Their Right Minds Wouldn't Kiss Stiles?! He has big brown eyes that animate every word he says and every facial expression he expresses. He has that wide smile that will seriously, no doubt light up your whole fucking world, yet he has this comforting spirit about him. Just knowing he's there is enough because even though the AdHD hyped teen may talk a lot he really does contribute in life saving ways with his throw-around Jeep.
So its no surprise that Stiles gets what he wants, someone to love and replace the void that his deceased mom left behind. So its no surprise that Derek is the only one that can do that, two people that have lost something important and are helping each other mend hearts.
Its no surprise when Derek tosses him on his bed and gives him a mindblowing dick-exploding blowjob. After that they carry on and about like nothing happened...sorta, when the whole pack can smell their Alpha on you, ok so it wasn't like nothing did not happen because it did.
So it wasn't a surprise that everyone accepted Stiles' confession. It isn't a surprise that Stiles is happy.
