One day I will finish one fic before starting another (dream on archeress)

Here are seven short chapters countering Uther and Igraine by the deadly sins and their opposing virtues

Uther

Lust

Uther had loved Igraine; not just for her outside beauty but for her soft heart and willingness to have him. They had been together most nights after their wedding, curled up together in the same bed. Her falling asleep with her head against his bare chest. His beautiful Igraine, his wife, queen, companion, partner, his heart and his soul all rolled into one wonderful person.

"A king can have anything, whatever he can keep" one of the old knights had told him that when he was newly crowned.

He'd failed. He'd had Igraine and, by his own blindness, lost her again. Yet deep in his heart he could still feel her sleeping next to him; a wife forever that death could not part, slice, rip or tear from him unless he let them.

Something he would never ever do.

Igraine

Chastity

Watching her slightly wayward husband from above, Igraine could smile. She knew that even though they'd regularly shared a bed after wedlock she had never played that easy to get. Every time she would roll away so her back was all he saw. When he finally gave up and turned away as well she would then relent. It had been a fun game, teaching the young man she knew patience; a patience that was aiding him somewhat in ruling the kingdom of Camelot. A patience that had aided him in the raising of their son; Arthur, now Crown Prince of Camelot.
