I Do Not own Super Natural.
"This is a strange predicament, Dean." Castiel mused quietly. Dean just shot the Angel a death glare and spat.
"Just pull your almighty angel powers and poof us out of this!" Castiel frowned. He had already explained that he was powerless in the binding seal. So they were stuck in this predicament. Unsatisfied with the answer Dean tried to pull away again, only tightening the restraints more. The succubus who had captured them had a deranged sense of humor. Dean was tied in a way that he was forced to straddle Castiel. Every time either struggled the ropes would pull them closer yet Dean continued to struggle. Both men had been in this for nearly thirty minutes now, left to die of exposure in the middle of the Arizona desert stripped to nothing but their underwear. After cursing under his breath Dean readjusted himself. As he did so Castiel felt something he rather didn't want to feel.
"Dean is that…"
"It's not what you think! Just wanted my last thoughts to be about that chick in the diner." Castiel scowled hard! This was hardly acceptable at all.
"Focus more on finding a way out of this and less on your libido!" Castiel barked. Dean's head just sunk and he shook his head. The Succubus had outplayed them. Two hex bags had been wrapped tightly around them along with a demonic rope that was stronger than steel. They were screwed.
"Sorry, force of habit. Rather think of something I enjoy before kicking it." Castiel could understand…sort of. Humans were strange. Suddenly Dean looked Castiel in the eye and asked wistfully.
"How about you? Got anything on your mind? Any Angelic wishes that you want fulfilled?"
"Actually, I won't die, I will return to heaven. This vessel however…" Dean cut him off with a light growl.
"Well good for you, really peachy keen." Castiel bit his lip, perhaps not the best thing to say.
"To answer your question, Angels aren't permitted to dream or wish. It would cloud our judgment, regardless we have them and mine has already…" Before he could answer there was a loud hollering in the distance, Sam and Bobby had somehow found them. Once they had gotten close enough both were speechless. After a long while Bobby spoke up.
"Well this is a first." Sam on the other hand had broken into teary eyed laughter. Once he was ahold of himself he began helping Bobby untie the pair. Neither said a word.
Sometime Later
Castiel readjusted his trench coat as he marched down the sidewalk. He was meeting the Winchester boys at a diner to wrap up the Succubus hunt. Dean was standing outside waiting for him.
"Succubus taken care of?" Castiel asked pensively.
"Yeah." Dean replied in monotone. Neither had spoken since their rescue and the air was still thick.
"So is it true? You can't have anything to aspire to?" Dean asked suddenly. Castiel nodded and remarked.
"We were made to serve our father but everything and everyone is allowed to dream or wish for something."
"Yeah you were saying something about that earlier, something about your own dreams. What was that about?" Castiel smirked and held the door open for Dean.
"Let's get some food and coffee. It has been all too long of a day." Dean said something under his breath as he passed Castiel but he couldn't hear what he had said. He wasn't paying attention at all. Instead his eyes were locked somewhere else. This is a strange predicament indeed, Dean. Castiel thought to himself as he forced his eyes upward.
