For twilight joltik, for being an amazing follower! It was fun and refreshing to take a break from my story and write something different!

Nah could hear Lucina in the training room, slicing down dummy after dummy with her sword. Nah fidgeted with the hem of her sleeves, waiting for the perfect moment to walk in and try to talk to her, or maybe she was waiting until she wasn't nervous. She closed her eyes, and breathed out a sigh.

I'm not nervous, Nah told herself. I'm a manakete! I don't get nervous!

Then why won't I go and talk to her?

Nah sighed in frustration. Lucina was royalty, and therefore, intimidating to her. But Nah would never admit that.

With a sudden surge of confidence, Nah charged into the barracks before she could lose her courage, and tripped over a wooden sword as she entered. She quickly stumbled back onto her feet, but Lucina had noticed and stopped training.

"Er.. Hi." Nah said, sounding much less confident then she would have liked.

Lucina tried not to show her amusement from Nah tripping. "Hi." She greeted back.

Nah smoothed her clothes with her hands. "I wanted to ask you something." She said, getting straight to the point.

"Ok.." Lucina said slowly

Nah looked back up, looking Lucina in the eye. "Do you see me as a child?" She asked starkly.

Lucina cocked her head in surprise, not expecting that question. "No. I think you're very wise, actually." She said truthfully.

Nah couldn't help but beam. She knew Lucina wouldn't think of her as a child like everyone else did. Lucina was strong, and smart, and wise. She could see past appearances. And Lucina was serious, another thing Nah admired about her. Lucina knew they were at war too. She wouldn't bother to play games like her Owain did, or waste time flirting like Inigo.

"I'm glad." Nah said finally. "I have another question actually... a proposition..."

"What is it?"

Nah felt herself fidgeting with her hem again. "Would you want to train together? I think on the battlefield we could make a great team."

Lucina leaned against her sword. "I'd love to Nah!" Lucina raised an eyebrow. "Why me though?"

Nah flushed. "I think we're similar. You're the only one I would trust fighting with, to be frank."

"I feel the same. I've always wanted to fight with a manakete like you. I think it would be a great honor." Lucina said happily.

Lucina continued. "I've always wondered what it would be like to be a manakete. To be able to fly above the treetops and see the world from above…" Her voice drifted off and she had a dreamy look on her face.

A thought popped into her head, and Nah couldn't believe she was actually considering it.

She scuffed her boots against the ground. "I don't really do this…" Nah started, recapturing Lucina's attention. "But, I could give you a ride on my back."

Lucina's eyes widened. "You really mean it?"

Nah nodded, pleased at how happy Lucina was. "We could go right now if you wanted."

Lucina gave a cheer, and then looked at her seriously. "Are you positive? I would never have expected you to offer. You don't mind?"

Nah smirked. "Nah," She said trying not to laugh. "I don't mind."

Lucina snorted in laughter at Nah's joke, looping her arm through Nah's as they walked out of the barracks together.

"I can tell where going to become great friends, Nah." Lucina said. Nah couldn't help but grin, happy she had finally made friends with Lucina like she had always wanted too.
