True Damnation

Author Note: My first Helsing fic, a slasher, yes, but nothing graphic. Nothing with me ever will be. Read and simply enjoy.

Disclaimer: I don't own anyone.

I find it great fun, to watch you squirm as you do when I am near. To know that I have to simply smile your way and it sends you skittering, you are so unlike your companion. How you both function as a unit is still quite the mystery to me, but you shall never be to Gabriel now, as I was then, when I was alive; when I was warm.

How many frozen nights have I spent alone, missing you, begging to know your touch against my skin just one last time? To feel your gentle lips caress my flamed flesh? And then, there you were, my Gabriel alive and well after all those years. Wearing the ring as a momento, a phoenix dragon. You should have been there to bring back the light I had lost, but alas, you had come to kill me again.

That is not what causes me to weep tonight, what causes these red tears is that your God, the one we both would raise our heads to in servitude, extinguished me from your memory. Now I can understand utter solitude, complete emptyness, because our vow, our love, has disappeared from your life like the streaks of night in the morning sun.

Oh Gabriel, how I wished God could have bestowed such kindness to me.
