Hey everyone! This is something I wrote when I found out it will be snowing in London tomorrow :) Well this is perfect example of how I try to write something funny and it ends up completely different than I planned... Well I hope you enjoy it anyway! And if you do please review and favourite ;)
This is set somewhere by the end of season 1. I still can't believe 'Merlin' is over so I'm gonna pretend that it's not and I'm not gonna upload any alternative endings. I don't care :)
Enjoy! xxxx
'Arthur!' Merlin's voice filled the room, making the sleeping Prince stir in his bed. 'Arthur, get up! Look at this!'
Arthur opened his eyes very slowly and looked around the room. Unable to find anything unusual, he looked at his servant who was looking through the window with a wide grin on his face.
'What now Merlin?' he asked while getting up from his bed to join Merlin at the window.
'It's snowing!' said the brunette with excitement.
Arthur looked at him with disbelief and explained like he would to a small child: 'It's winter, Merlin. It's supposed to be snowing.'
Merlin gave him a glare, which didn't seem to have any effect on the blond man, and quickly turned his head back to the window to watch in amazement.
Arthur thought that he looked just like a little boy then. It was heart warming and it made the Prince feel strange, made him feel suddenly very happy.
'Here is so different than the winters in Ealdor. Here you don't have to worry that you may have to starve if there is not enough food. Here you don't have to sleep on cold ground at night, freezing to death.' the young boy seemed deep in thought.
Arthur didn't know what to say. It was sad that some people had such a hard life but could never complain to anyone about it. He looked into Merlin's eyes and couldn't stand how his mood changed so suddenly. He wanted the ever cheerful Merlin back, whatever the price.
'Look at me.' Arthur asked softly.
Merlin looked up into his master's eyes to find strange emotions, he couldn't identify in the blue pools.
'I know I can never say to you that I know how it feels and that I understand. I didn't choose to be the son of the King even though I act like a royal prat sometimes and I make it seem otherwise. Since I met you I started to think that I would rather be a ordinary peasant.'
The confession seemed to surprise the servant.
'Really, why?' Merlin asked honestly curious.
'Because if I wasn't the Prince, we could go outside now and play in the snow, we could make a snowman and have a snowball fight, which I would obviously win...'
'Obviously.' Merlin smiled. He came closer and took Arthur's hand in both of his own. Both boys were looking into each other's eyes.
'You're so beautiful.' Arthur whispered, letting all his hidden emotions out. 'I wish you were mine.'
'You know you can have everything you want. You are the Prince.'
Merlin's eyes were shining with tears. He came closer to the blonde boy and wrapped his arms around his waist. Arthur hugged him back noticing how perfectly they fit together.
'I don't want everything. I want only you.' answered Arthur honestly.
'I am forever yours.'
They separated slightly, just to bring their lips together for the first time. Arthur couldn't believe that it was actually real. It was more than perfect. They parted only to smile at each other happily.
They stood by the window enjoying the silence and shared many more soft kisses. At that moment they were not the master and the servant. They were two souls that were meant to be together since the first time they saw each other during the hot, sunny day. Even though outside it was still snowing it only reminded them of all those precious moments they shared. But could anything compare to this? Definitely not.
