Okay, we like Jason Todd, Robin no. 2 in the DC comics. We like Batman Beyond. So, yes, this is a tribute to Jason.
For those of who do know, skip this, because we will be explaining who Jason is. Jason became Robin2 after Dick left, and Bat's needed a new partner. He chose Jason when Jase tried to (unsuccessfully) steal the Bat-Mobile. While Dick would give Jason his old Robin suit, Jase and Dick would never become brothers, like Tim and Dick would (We think the only reason Dick and Tim became close was Jason's death, I might add, Dick be his namesake sometimes!). Jason was never as popular as the original (and the best!) Robin, and DC killed him off (Which pissed Moon off especially! NEVER mention the death of Jason Todd around her, unless you want her going after DC with an axe! She almost killed us all after reading it!). Jason was killed when he found his birth mother in Ethiopia. Jason went to see her, not knowing she was working with the Joker (DUN, DUN, DUN!). Jason revealed to his mother who he was, and she in turn, told the joker. The Joker caught Jason, and beat him with a crowbar. He then left Jason and his mother to die by bomb blast. Jason tries one more time to be a hero, covering his mother from the blast, even after that bloody bitch betrays him. They both are killed anyway.
So, this is dedicated to the Dracoverse (A site dedicated to Jason as the vigilante, Draco). Shawnee, who is our BEST beta reader and made this the best it could be, smooches, darling! Freddie, our dear departed comic book fiend, and of course, to Jason Todd, Robin2, 1980-1984! A hero to the end. You are missed!
We wrote this story, because we wanted to know what our Jason was doing in Batman Beyond. We couldn't answer that (Moon thought thief, Selina thought detective or reporter, Luna thought in an asylum, and Arte in either jail or Hell), so we created Jasyne Todd.
No this is not a) a romance or b) a Mary-Sue. A Mary-Sue for those who don't know, is the perfect heroine. She's smart, pretty, talented, bleh! If this seems like it, email or review immediately! We refuse to do anything remotely gag worthy!
