He talks about places and a man
A brother he had lost in the war
He once told her to stay
Once, twice, thrice, in ink and paper
That kind of courage he's missing and wish he have
And wonder if she'll stay if he at least try
He writes a letter a day to say how much he misses her
Her wit, how much he craves for that now
He misses her laughter and his smile
The look she gives him every time
Her eyes as green as the sea
Her face that paints a thousand words
The familiarity of her on his side
The comfortable, warm hand against his own
He writes a letter a day to say 'I love you'
Even he have no idea where she is
He loves her, it took time to admit
And hopes that she feels the same way too
It's scary not knowing if she is fine
She's a strong girl, he's aware of that
He wants to hold her hand to be okay
'Cause he have no idea where really he is
He writes a letter a day to say how happy he is
To finally catch sight of her again
And daydreamed of shades, burning red
And to paint of it the next day
He can't believe that she's finally here
To see her breathing, see her smile
To see what she's looking for, the new her
To see her standing with another man
He writes a letter a day to ease the pain
Three hundred sixty and counting with her name
Then turns to thousand letters he'll never send
Because she'll never read them anyway
Color faded and it all turns to grey
There's no one else but him he blames
Winter, spring, summer, fall, he waited so long
That's what he's good at, he always claims
