Once again my attempts at "fluff"…my writing…generally turns out depressing, or twisted (other than my humor fics) so I tried really hard to write happy.

Although…I think I failed…boo

"It, I don't have a heart, Riku." He shook his head sadly, "And I doubt I ever will...I'd have to go to Kingdom Hearts and retrieve it, and we both know what comes of that."

He looked so honestly into the pale teen's eyes, "but if I had a heart, I'd want you to have it. Always."

He bit his lip, "What I have...the space that my heart should keep, instead there is Kairi."

Riku flinched, he didn't understand. It had sounded like a confession-but in the end it really was Kairi?

"And the Keyblade."

Riku blinked and processed what he nearly missed, "What?"

Sora frowned "Where my heart should be. Kairi and the Keyblade stay there...well, Kairi's magic, they keep me, me."

The brunette motioned vaguely as if to explain with the motions, "Kairi is a princess of heart, and more importantly, the princess of the Keyblades. Her power was what allowed me to use your Keyblade in the first place. And when I died..."

Riku flinched; it was a painful reminder of his sin. Sora lost his heart because of him; Sora was in this whole mess because of him-because he gave into the darkness-

The touch of soft, calloused fingers brushed against his down turned face, startling him. He recoiled away from his friend as he looked up.

Sora himself flinched back, a look of hurt snapping through his eyes.

Riku widened his own, Hurt? From...rejection? He thinks I didn't want-because I flinched I-He thinks I've rejected him?!

Sora's bright smile was already plastered on his face, "So, yeah, I was just saying...I don't know what I was saying, so never mind." He turned on heel to walk to the beach, "Hey, I bet Tidus and them are out side, so let's-"

Riku grabbed his wrist before he could go any further. Sora looked back confused, his smile faltering slightly, "Wha?"

He was silenced as the taller male pulled him to his chest, holding the little heartless to himself.

"I don't care what you are," he whispered burying his face into the shorter boy's hair, "Sora is Sora."

"R-riku..."

"If you… if you think that you are a heartless, then you can have my heart."

"What?! No!" Sora struggled but Riku only tightened his hold.

"It's ok, because...you've always had it. My heart that is...it's always been with you."

Sora's struggling stopped and he leaned back into the hug. "Riku," he breathed, because that was all he needed to say.
