He and I used to watch the stars,

Right then he had no scars,

His dreams were my dreams too,

I was stuck on him like glue,

He was tough though small in frame,

Never giving up when in shame,

His wishes were my wishes too,

Sometimes I wish I never knew,

I'm sitting here on golden sand,

So beautiful but oh so bland,

He left me here and ran away,

I wasn't going to make him stay,

He stood his ground and saved my life,

I used to think I'd be his wife,

But now his smile has lost its shine,

We used to float on fluffy cloud nine,

But now he sits and frowns at me,

The boy I knew I cannot see,

He's now a man and not a child,

He said life's not about being wild,

And now he's gone again from me,

Cause I'm not what I used to be,

He had to move on and see the new,

I just wish it wasn't true,

He said my smile gravely hurts him,

And yet her smile's so fine and grim,

He and I used to watch the stars,

Right then he had no scares,

But now there's one across his heart,

My spot in it has a broken part,

I'm sorry but your words aren't true,

It's you, who's not the one you knew,

A man you'll be from now on end,

I dearly hope your heart will mend,

I'm always here if it glues back,

For now though I'll fade into the black
