Slight spoilers for Pokemon X/Y. SLIGHT. I don't even know if it could be considered as spoilers, but to be sure. :D
I didn't put this as a crossover since they're just playing the game and not really directly interacting with the characters.
Takao
"You don't do that to me, you simpleton!" grunted Takao, stabbing the lower screen of his 3DS with the worn-out stylus. He was nearly finishing the arc with the Magenta Café, Lysandre's lab, and the things keeping him away from the legendary pokemon are the five Team Flare Admins blocking the machine.
"Takao-kun, pass the project NOW!" bellowed his overbearing groupmate in MAPEH. "You're the only one who hasn't done any contribution!"
"I'm sorry but I'm busy, please!"
She scowled at him and made a move to grab a fistful of his hair, but stopped when she realized what he was playing. "Oh, you're still not finished with that yet?" She seemed smug.
"I was too busy with the last match—OH GOD NO."
Xerneas walked towards his character. The last two surviving pokemon on his team only had half the HP.
"Don't use any moves!" yelled the stupid groupmate. She flicked the stylus away from his hand. "Use a quick ball!"
"Who would do that to a legen—"
"JUST DO IT!"
Takao grumbled under his breath, but followed her advice anyway. Calum threw a quick ball at Xerneas!
They watched the screen in anticipation, their breaths shallow and anxious.
The pokeball shook once, twice… oh no. It paused from shaking. What the—it shook thrice. And the pokeball shook the last time until it released a burst of something that resembled a confetti.
"Okay, when the hell did the catch rate for a legendary pokemon decrease?" Takao Kazunari was bummed – he expected more challenge from capturing a legendary.
"It's not much of a legendary anyway, it's a useless fairy type," she shoved the decorated cartolina on top of his 3DS. "Here, pass this on the teacher's lounge. If sensei isn't there, just leave it on her desk. We already wrote the members on the back."
"But I'm too depressed to go alone!" he cried with a frown, still staring at the Pokedex info about Xerneas.
"What's more depressing is if I told you who the champion of Kalos is!" she threatened, staring him down.
"Oh yeah, they still haven't revealed—"
"Oh, I forgot to tell you, your captain was looking for you," Takao's eyes widened. "Said the coach wanted to meet you all at one o' clock sharp in the gym. Don't be late," she smiled pleasantly, even though it was 12:55PM in the afternoon and he still had to pass the project for them or else he wouldn't have a hand in the contribution.
"You're a devil!" He was already halfway through the room, the cartolina and his bag on hand.
"The champion is a she!"
Can I just rant about how easy it is to beat the Kalos region. -_- It seems like they focused more on the locations and landscapes rather than the story. I always struggled with the Team _'s hideout for Kanto and Hoenn since the buildings seemed to go on forever, like three floors with lots of deadends before you reach the boss, and for Kalos, it had only one floor with few Team Flare grunts around. It's beautiful yeah, but it didn't pose much challenge. Mrrghhhh.
The story was like a mini-rant… ? I was spoiled who the champion was and I was curious as to how others reacted so I asked around. Maybe I'd do a mini-series on how each character handled the game, it was fun writing this. XD
