The snow crunched under my feet as I was running. Cold, biting air flew in my face. Snow was falling to where I could hardly see anything. My body was numb and blood streamed from my nose. I almost tripped on a rock not paying attention to anything but running. I bet you're wondering why I'm running in the first place. Well you'll see later on. My name is Alexis, and I am a Pokémon trainer.

Chap.1- Mother

"Alex! Come down, you'll be late for your big day!" My mother calls from downstairs.

I wake up with blurry vision. I feel really tired this morning, more than usual. But my mother is right; I will be late if I stay here for another minute. I get dressed and run downstairs for breakfast. Looking at the table, I see my favorite food on a little white floral china plate. Oran Berry Muffins.

"So, are you exited?" My mother asks as I stuff my face in the berry bread.

"You bet!" I reply after swallowing.

"I just can't believe that my little girl is going to be all on her own." My mother says, looking like she's about to cry.

"It's ok mom, I'll be fine"

"I'm not worried; I'm just going to miss you!"

"It'll be ok" I said with pitiful expression on my face. "I should probably go." I say.

My mom wipes the tears from her face. "Ok honey, I'll miss you."

I'm trying not to cry myself. I give her a big hug and walk out the door.

"Wait!" My mom cries.

I turn around and see a purple floral tote bag filled with something.

"You forgot this."

I look inside and see a verity of goods. A sack of oran berry muffins, a hat, some money, a few changes of clothes, and a canteen. My mother hands it to me and gives me a kiss on the forehead. I'm going to miss her. She has the most beautiful face I have ever seen. Her smile can turn any sad day into the best day ever. I love her, and I will never forget her. I hug her again, longer than the last one. A tear falls down my cheek and I start to cry. We stopped hugging and we stared at each other for a long time.

"I need to go now" I say.

"Don't be late honey."

I turn around and slowly walk away. I can't turn back or else I won't want to leave. So I walk. I walk and don't stop.

Chap.2-Who to pick

Kisuru Village is a nice, quiet, mostly peaceful place. I grew up here. I was here when the Ryhorn stampede rolled through the gravel paths, when an articuno flew over the village, and even when team rocket stole from the stores. I love it here. While I was walking, I thought about being a trainer, asking myself if I really want to leave this place. After asking myself that, I was already deep in thought. I started to space out and wasn't paying attention to anything.

"Ah, it's you!" An unfamiliar voice cried.

I look and it's the professor.

"Oh hi professor!" I said with a smile.

"Well I bet you're here for a pokemon."

"Indeed I am!"

"Well, it turns out you are a little late." He says with a sincere face. "I am really sorry."

I frown. "Sorry about that." It's silent for a few seconds. "Sorry to ask, but are there any Pokémon left?"

"Well, no, you missed the giveaway." Professor Fir said. "But if you like, I can catch one for you." He offers. I take his offer and he tells me to wait in a chair until he comes back. The wait was long. Longer than I could ever imagine. The silent ticks of a clock on the wall break the silence every second's pass. Tick….tick…..tick… It seems like forever.

Note, this is still in progress! Leave a review below on which starter Alexis should choose and if there is anything I need to fix! Thank you for reading and I will work on it some more soon!
