This was something I wrote ages ago.. and I recently found it and thought hey why not post it on here! Its really old and kinda crappy but non the less enjoy!

The day before 6th year at Hogwarts and a messed haired with glasses had not been to Diagonally to get his school supplies. Him and his parents arrived at the Leaky Cauldron, promptly just before noon. His mother had ordered a drink, and his father walked him to the stone wall. He tapped the wall and the gate opened he spoke to his son.

"You may go and get your supplies for school, and only the things you need for school, James nothing more" He spoke firmly.

James sighed "Yes sir" He said turning. He walked through the gate, and turned to watched his father go and join his mother. He smiled happily to himself. Glad to be of the guard of his parents. He mad his way through the streets of Diagonally. Stopping in Florish and Boltts , not his first choice of place he wanted to but he needed to.

Walking in he spotted her the beautiful red head, getting her books. He also Sirius who was talking to her. He just stood in the door way, admiring her beauty. He was always lost in it, as he stood there staring at her he didn't see the other people in around. He hardly heard his name being called.

"James!" yelled Sirius as he noticed his best friend. He waved him over to where he was standing talking to Lily.

James shook his head and walked over. He gave Lily a smile, and coughed and spoke "I see you waited till the last minute to get your school supplies too" he said, in a some what flirty tone.

Lily giggled. "James I had my shopping done weeks ago I only came today to see what idiots waited till the last day." she smiled back.

Sirius laughed. "James and I are idiots." He said jokingly

James hung his head for a moment, ignoring Sirius he spoke to Lily. "Are you gonna go out with me this year?" He asked her.

Sirius mad a kissing sounds.

Lily stared at James for a moment the truth was that she like him, but she couldn't tell him. "Well James," she was about to say something but the door came open and there was Severus.

James spoke first. "Snivellus!" he said "Did you have a nice holiday?"

"Uh yes I did" Said Severus "Hi Lily" he said ignore James now. He didn't like the boy one bit but he loved Lily she was so beautiful.

Lily Gasp, when she heard what James called Severus. "James how many times do I have to tell you to call him by his real name?" she didn't give him time to answer, she stormed off, angry at him.

Sirius laughed "James you blew it again" he told him.

James glared at Sirius, "I am quite aware" he told him. He sighed and grabbed his books he needed.

Severus had slipped out after grabbing his books and didn't say another word, to anyone.

"James you can win her over in the end don't give up" said Sirius smiling at his friend. Grabbed his books and headed out with his friend.

James smiled "Thanks Pal" he said smiling as they walked to the next store that they had to visit. To finish their school shopping together.
