Coffee Date
"Hey Rose, Rose wait!"
Rose stopped on her journey to her office. She turned in the direction of the voice. She re-gripped the file folders she was carrying. As she caught sight of who had called her name, she smiled.
"Scorpius! How are you?" Rose responded.
Scorpius came to a stop in front of Rose. "I'm good Rose, how are you?"
"I'm good. My boss is pressuring me to get these cases closed, but other than that…I'm good." Rose answered. "Did you need something?"
Scorpius and Rose had become friends near the end of their time at Hogwarts and had been working together at the Ministry for a little over two years. During that time, Scorpius had developed some more than friendly feelings for Rose. Finally he had worked up the courage to ask her out.
"Um…I, uh, just wanted to ask you if, uh, you wanted to, um, get a cup of coffee with me after work?" Scorpius stammered. "There's this great new place I wanted to try in Diagon Alley."
Rose smiled, "I'd love to."
"Great." Scorpius returned the smile. "I'll meet you here after work."
"It's a date." Rose nodded, before starting back on her route to her office.
"It's a date." Scorpius murmured to himself as she disappeared around a corner.
