The Genius and The Princess
By Hikari Dohjutsu
A/N: In this story Ino is five and Neji is six.
Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto
Yamanaka Ino was a princess. Her daddy had told her so and she had believed her daddy. It wasn't just daddy that told her she was a princess. Her daddy's friends, Chouza jii-san, and Shikaku jii-san, told her so too. Yamanaka Ino was a princess and she wasn't going to let anyone forget it.
Hyuuga Neji was a genius. It's true. He was the best in his class. He could defeat any opponent who dared to face him. His blood line limit was the envy of most of the village. He could solve any problem. Hyuuga Neji was a genius and he knew it.
Now Princess Ino was picking flowers, for her parent's flower shop. The green field was filled with daisies, and sunflowers and all sorts of beautiful flowers that would be just perfect for her parent's shop. Suddenly a dark shadow blocked the welcoming warm sun.
"Hey who do you think you are?" the blonde girls squinted to look up at her intruder.
"Move little girl, I have this spot reserved for training," said the boy with the pupil-less eyes.
The princess glared at the commoner, "I'm not a little girl and besides your only a year older than me!" she pointed an accusing finger.
"Besides," the blue eyed girl stood and placed her hand on her hips, "Who says this is your training spot,"
"I says," the Hyuuga points at himself as though that was answer enough to her question.
"So?" the blonde challenged.
"So," the boy countered, "I am Hyuuga Neji and I am a genius, and if I say so than it has to be right cause all geniuses are right!"
The small girl frowned, "That's stupid,"
Neji's eyes narrowed, "Nuh-uh"
"Uh-huh"
"NUH-UH!"
"UH-HUH!"
"What are you doing here that's so important anyway?" The small boy demanded.
"I'm picking flowers," Ino motioned to the small pile of flowers she had so meticulously chosen.
"Why are you wearing a flower in your hair," he pointed to the small white flower in her hair.
"Cause I'm a princess," She pointed at herself proudly.
"No your not,"
"Yes I am," the blonde flushed angrily.
"No your not, your just a stupid girl!" Neji accused.
"Well-well you're no genius, you're just a girly guy!" the blonde screeched angrily, tears starting to form in her baby blue eyes.
"I am not a girly guy!" Neji said, his pride mortally wounded.
"Yes you are, your hair is longer than mind," she taunted him mercilessly.
"That is the Hyuuga style of hair, and the Hyuuga is the best hair in Konoha so PLLL," Neji stuck his tongue out at the little blonde girl.
The blonde complied sticking her tongue out too.
"STUPID GIRL!" Neji yelled
"GIRLY GUY!" Ino yelled right back.
"You're no princess!"
"Yes I am! you're just not a genius!"
"NUH-UH!"
"UH-HUH!"
"Princess, why are you yelling?" Ino's father came up the green grassy hill.
Ino smiled at Neji as though to tell him I told you so.
"Neji, my little Hyuuga genius, why aren't you training?" Neji's mother questioned.
Neji smirked over at the blonde Yamanaka.
So they both left the grassy green Hill, still the genius and the princess.
A/N: Just a little oneshot I had in mind, totally pointless though. Please R&R!
