Hi guys! This is my first harry potter fan fiction, and my first fan fiction on this sight. Criticism is welcome, but please no flames. Enjoy!

Draco opened the door to his and his boyfriend, Harry's shared home. They had ended up moving into Grimmauld Place because it meant so much to Harry.

He wearily slipped off his coat and shoes and trudged towards the kitchen. Work at the Ministry had been horrible, and he'd ended up have to file paperwork all day. The hours had stretched into eternity, and it'd been hell. By lunch time, he'd been ready to apparate home. He would have if his boss hadn't decided to check on him at the moment he was preparing to leave. One awkward conversation and a promise to work over time and Draco could leave.

Just as he opened the door, Draco's nose was assaulted with a symphony of sweet smells. Draco glanced around the kitchen and saw Harry slaving over what was going to be a very elaborate meal with at least three courses. He racked his brain, but couldn't remember what the special occasion was. As far as he knew, the only thing special about the day was that Harry got the day off.

Harry looked up from his spot at the stove to see Draco at the kitchen entryway. A wide grin spread across his face and he made his way over to the stunned blonde. "I wasn't expecting you to be home for a few more hours, so this was supposed to be a surprise dinner. Either way, I'm glad your home," Harry said as he leant in to kiss Draco.

He then turned towards the table and picked up a bouquet of Draco's favorite flowers, tiger lilies. Harry handed them to him with a smile, and Draco hesitantly took them. "They're beautiful Harry, but-" he was cut off.

"I was trying to make the dinner truly home cooked, but I suppose I could use magic to finish it up and we can call it a late lunch," Harry more or less mumbled to himself. In a matter of minutes the amazing meal was finished and they were eating their staring salads. Draco was in awe of the meal Harry had made-with steaks cooked to perfection, and marvelously seasoned potatoes, followed by a delicious looking chocolate cake.

The meal was spent in a comfortable, but slightly awkward silence because Draco still didn't know what the occasion was. Soon, it was time for the cake, and Harry ceremoniously revealed it to Draco. On it, written in beautiful script, were the words 'Happy Valentine's Day Draco'. Draco blushed a deep red as Harry muttered those very words into his ear.

Just as Harry was about to cut the cake, Draco spoke," Harry, I am so sorry, but I forgot that today was Valentine's Day. I've been so caught up with work that it completely slipped my mind. And here you are getting me lovely flowers and preparing such a beautiful meal when I have nothing to give you in return, and-" he was again cut off, but this time with Harry's lips.

After pulling away from the sweet kiss, Harry gave him a soft smile. "I know how hectic it's been for you lately Draco, and I don't blame you for forgetting. I know you didn't mean to, so don't feel sorry for it, and accept the gifts I got for you. Besides, you can always make it up to me," Harry finished off with a smirk and a very suggestive wink.

Draco quickly caught on and began to walk towards the bedroom with Harry following. He stopped only once. "Harry, bring the cake."

So? How was it for my first time? Read and review to let me know what you think.
