Summary:
Rin Higurashi almost have it all - a loving family, her dream job, and millions of inheritance. She is almost the happiest woman in the world except for one thing, a man who loves her just as she is. But Sesshoumaru was nothing like a knight in shining armor: according to him he was a youkai who detest humans a lot and his armor is not shiny it's spiky and very sharp at that. How strong is the bond that exists between Rin and this enigmatic man that she was able to bring him back from the past?

Chapter One: Sesshoumaru
The Western Lands, 1506
Sesshoumaru Takashi, The Lord of the Western Lands, then was trying to concentrate on the letter to his servant, Jaken, a letter that was probably the most important document he would ever write. Everything depended on this letter: his honor, his life, and the future of the Western Lands.
But ashe carefully contemplate the words to write he began to hear her. Softly at first, but growing louder. It was a woman crying, but not something like a whimper or from pain but from something deeper.
He gave his attention back to his letter but he could not concentrate. The woman probably needed something but he can't give her that. Not now, when his own life is in danger.
What does she need, he thought to himself. Is it comfort? Soothing? No, he thought, she needed hope. The tears, the anguish cry, were the tears of a person who no longer had any hope.
Sesshoumaru looked back at the paper. The woman's problems were not his. He needs to finish this letter and soon give it to Jaken or else he would be the one left without hope. Besides by the sounds of her voice, she is probably a ningen. Something that this proud demon despises with a passion. Demon ladies are too proud to cause a racket such as this one. Such pathetic creature's human women are.
He wrote two more lines then stopped. The crying increased. It wasn't louder, but it seemed to grow in size until it filled the room.
"Ningen," he whispered, "stop crying. I would silence you to death if my life is not at stake."
He picked up the quill and wrote, with one hand over his ear, trying to block out the woman's cries.
Author's Note: This is my first story in the Inuyasha Universe. This is an AU based on one of my favorite romance novels of all time, A Knight in Shining Armor by Jude Deveraux. For such a long time, if always contemplated on writing this fic because I think it will surely fit Sesshy-sama and Rin-chan but I never had the guts to do so. The fic's plot is quite similar with the novel but as the fic progresses you will notice the differences like Nicholas is such a gentleman and full of life in contrast with Sesshoumaru's icy personality and hatred towards human. Don't worry, we can't let Sesshoumaru be like that forever, we have Rin-chan to soften Fluffy-sama's heart. Next chapter will be about Rin-chan, I will update the next chapter if I get 10 reviews.
