Vida liked a lot of things.

She liked chocolate chip cookies. She liked loud music. She liked her chicken wings hot and spicy. Just like her.

She absolutely hated pink.

It made her twitch and itch. Just staring at the color made her want to scream and run in the opposite direction.

Someone must have been laughing at her when they made her the pink ranger. It must be some joke.

She hated jokes. This was the biggest one if she ever saw one.

"It isn't a bad color, Vee," Her sister said behind her.

She turned around and gave her sister a look. Maddie frowned before looking at another clothes rack.

"You aren't wearing pink. You are the blue ranger."

"I am not sure that a good thing…"

"Wha…whoa, sis. The magic book chose you too."

"I know…I know. It just that…"

"Both of you will make awesome rangers." Chip said as he popped up from behind one of the racks.

Why wasn't she surprise? Chip wanted a power ranger since…forever. He wouldn't have any problem with the whole spandex digging up your ass thing.

"Say the geek," She grumbled to herself.

Chip's eyes looked from Maddie to her then he frowned.

"Don't give me that look. You know that I hate pink."

"You hate the color. Not what it represents."

She blinked at him in confusion.

"What?"

Chip turned to Maddie and threw his arm over her shoulders.

"Maddie is blue. It represents her so well. When she is content, it is like a clear blue sky. When she is happy, she is like the waves on the ocean. When she is angry, watch out! It is Hurricane Maddie!" Chip said. Her sis's face turned red. It was kind of funny but Chip was right about Maddie.

Not that she would tell him.

"Well…what about me?" She said as she folded her arms across her chest.

Chip tilted his head and smiled like he met Spiderman in real life or something like that.

"Pink is off shot between red and white. Red is passion and fire. Just like you. White is purity."

"I am not pure, damn it!"

Chip stepped back and blinked.

"I know that but…that isn't what I meant!"

"What do you mean?"

"Pure in emotions, Vee. When you are angry, you are very angry. When you are happy, everyone knows it. When you are upset, you are upset. There isn't an in between to you. That is why you are pink."

Her mouth dropped. What the hell? How did he know this stuff?

"Did you eat something funny, Chip?"

"NOPE! I read the book. It is so cool and the spells…"

She held up her hand.

"I get it. I get it."

"He is right, you know," Maddie said softly.

She gave her sister a look then she turned her attention to Chip.

"What about you?"

"What about me?"

"Why are you sure about the yellow thing? Aren't yellows typically girls?"

"Nothing wrong with being yellow."

"You are outnumbered by girls."

"So? Still an awesome color."

Damn it, Chip was wearing his kick the puppy look. She patted her best friend's shoulder.

"You are so yellow."

Damn it, that he didn't smile at that.

"Thanks! Now, come on…pick out something pink. So, we can get some ice cream."

She eyed the pink blouse in her hands.

"Do I have too?"

"Well…."

"Don't answer that."

Madison giggled.

"Watch it, Maddie. I will laugh when you pick some blueberry ice cream or some crap like that. I know that you hate it!"

Her sis started laughing harder.

She gave them an evil look.

Stupid pink.
