Oh and yes I know there are tons of Dean!Angst on Sam ditching Dean and John for college! but you know I just wanted to give it a shot!
After Sam had left for college Dean knew he wasent enough, he knew from the look he saw in his dads eyes, a look that had loss, worry, and a bit of pride etched into his dads brown eyes. It was a look he knew his dad had and never would show for him. He knows why, he knows it's because Sam, is his dads pride and joy, while Dean, he didn't even know what he was to his dad besides being his perfect little solider. Dean has tried to ask, but he always stops himself...too scared that his dads awnser would be "my good boy" and hes scared because he already knows, Sam is his dads favorite, his dads pride and joy, the apple of his eye... while Dean is and always will be, dads solider.
