Prologue
Troy Bolton had an ego. He craved attention. His most recent stunt? Trying to win over the East High student body by joining the seemingly perfect new girl in the school musical. Or so he thought… It made sense at the time right? You know, basketball star, perfect girlfriend, excellent actor and everything in between. But then, the school decided that he was 'practically breaking the law' for auditioning for 'Twinkle Towne' (He blamed the name Twinkle Towne). Fortunately for Troy, all's well ends well. He won the lead along with the pretty new girl Gabriella who he had won over.
Now, Try was more popular than ever, everyone knew his name in a positive light. Life was perfect right?

Wrong. You see there's this slight detail irking our 'Golden Boy'. You know, ' what's his face' that follows Sharpay around… Yeah that guy. Oh apologies, the guy has been confirmed as Ryan Evans.

To Ryan, Troy is non-existent , just a hype that will fade away, much like how he thought of Stephen Strasburg. So the blond had been ignoring the basketball captain..or is it admiral now…for as long as he could remember.

Normally, one insolent child who won't treat him with respect would be no big deal for Troy; however there was just something about the 'hat-boy's ' 'I-will ignore Tory Bolton even if life depended on it' attitude.
To Troy, that attitude had been a huge blow on his ever-inflating ego, and the brunet could never allow that.
This is a resolution
He knew it had a complicated or maybe even insane resolution. He knew he needed to befriend the boy while keeping his ever-so-perfect reputation and make sure the other boy doesn't sense his selfish motives. He thought and thought until he could think no more. Yes this plan is perfection. He was on the verge of an evil laugh, but caught himself after a chuckle.
A/N: I have not actually watched HSM except minor parts a long ago therefore characterization may be off. But this will be based on how I see the characters from the little bits of the movies that I have seen. And of course the lovely fanfics.
