A/N: Hi! Welcome to Pokémon: Destiny and Yo-Kai Watch: Fate, or Destiny and Fate for short. It's also my first ever fanfiction (and crossover) on this site. Since I wanted to fix the chapters after I can't read most of them without cringing, I decided to delete them and then re-publish them after I rewrote them, as you all can see in the description.
DISCLAIMER: Pokémon is owned by Satoshi Tajiri, the Pokémon company, and Nintendo, and Yo-Kai Watch is owned by Level-5.
Anyway, without further A/N, let the show begin!
As I chase my dream, I got lost deep in the forest of my heart
Ash watched the clouds while lying on the grass with Pikachu doing the same on his right side.
"Y'know, buddy, we've been through a lot from when we started our journey up to today," Ash said, moving his hands to the back of his head.
"Pikachu Pika-pi," Pikachu answered, rolling to the side to avoid getting poked by Ash's elbow. (Translation: Surprised you only noticed this now, Ash.)
"Give me a break, Pikachu," Ash replied. "In case you haven't noticed, I'm distracted almost all the time from battles, training, and other stuff."
"Pikachu." (Fair enough.)
"Speaking of battles, I wonder if I can be as good as my grandpa..." Ash said, his voice somewhat wavering at the end of his statement.
"Pika Pikachu, Pika-pi!" Pikachu stood up, shaking his head. (Don't doubt yourself, Ash! You'll be as great as your grandpa, if not more!)
"You really think so?" Ash asked, looking at a unique-shaped cloud.
"Pika," Pikachu nodded.
"Thanks a lot."
A clear spring reflected the warped smile better than mirrors
Nate had been re-visiting his grandmother at Harrisville, and touring around the house when he noticed the portrait of Nathaniel Adams, his grandfather, and also the founder of the Yo-Kai Watch, beside his grandmother, Lucy Adams.
"Grandpa..." Nate muttered, starting to have slight flashbacks about that adventure, the one where he had to go back in time to stop Dame Dedtime to save the world and the history of the Yo-Kai Watch along with his grandfather and their Yo-Kai friends after he observed the portrait. "Would things have been different if you're still alive?"
"Nate, there you are! I've been looking for you, being the perfect butler...Oh, what are you looking at?" Whisper asked, floating into the room.
"He's looking at a portrait, Whisper. What else?" Jibanyan rolled his eyes, 'cause he's observant like that.
"I know that! What I mean is, who is in that portrait?" Whisper huffed.
"It's Grandpa," Nate answered, still looking at the portrait as if in a daze.
"Well, why are you looking at him like you're in a trance?" the marshmallow ghost-like Yo-Kai by the name of Whisper asked.
"I'm just wondering what might happen if Grandpa is still alive at the time I got the Yo-Kai Watch or even until now," Nate admitted.
"Nyate, are you missing your grandfather?" Jibanyan asked, looking up curiously at the framed photo.
"I dunno," Nate said. Whisper and Jibanyan gave each other looks that said 'Yeah, right.' Noticing their glances, Nate sighed. "Fine, I sort of missed him."
"Seeing as you only met him once, and him being the same age as you at that time, I don't really see how you miss him," Whisper stated honestly, with no filter at all.
"Geez, Whisper, stop being so harsh for once," Jibanyan stated with as much honesty as Whisper.
"I'm just wondering how my life, the Yo-Kai part of it, would change if he's still alive," Nate smiled, but instead of the smile being a real one, it was fake, the kind of smile that someone would use to hide their feelings.
"If he's the one who gave you the Yo-Kai Watch, you would probably never meet some of the Yo-Kai friends that you have today," Whisper said. "And after all, after peole die, they become Yo-Kai, and you never know whether or not you might meet your grandfather's Yo-kai form."
"I agree with Whisper for once," Jibanyan said, after quickly eating a chocobar beaver-style.
"Nate, Grandma's back!" Mrs. Adams called from another room.
"Guys, I think we'd better go get going to meet Grandma," Nate said. "And thanks."
Nate left the room with Whisper and Jibanyan, now feeling much better.
The tears that I shed (don't cry), gold or silver they won't ever be
These common tears (fall from my eyes) won't be noticed by the goddesses
"Let's fly, Xatu!" A girl with black-hair tied up into a high ponytail, amber eyes, and freckles called out.
"Xatu?" Xatu asked, standing still. (Translation: What do you need me for, Cassie?)
"Can you fly me back to Len Town?" Cassie asked.
"Xatu..." Xatu responded. (But we just got the Cool Ribbon, Beauty Ribbon, and the Smart Ribbon, and you haven't gotten any Pokémon to join our team yet...)
"I just suddenly want to go home for a while," Cassie shrugged. "Plus, Jerry's already got back to Len Town first, Kadabra teleported him."
"Xatu. Xatu?" (I see. Do you want me to teleport you too or do you want to fly?)
"I think I'll just fly. It's not going to be that far and I want to enjoy the ride," Cassie replied.
"Xatu." (It's fine by me. It's a good thing you don't have either Espeon or Blaze out too, because I'm not sure I'll be able to carry either of them along with you yet.)
"Don't worry about that, you've just evolved," Cassie said, holding on to Xatu's outstretched claw. "Let's go!"
True Dream Chasing Chasing
Surpassing the greatest I've ever been
"Come on out my friend, Magmar!" Nate's Magmar appeared after a flash of light.
"Let's go, Clefairy!" Katie's Clefairy appeared beside Magmar.
"Help us out here, Piloswine," A woman wearing an ushanka (Russian fur hat) with a mysterious emblem in the front and a beige long sweater dress with long sleeves, wool gloves and snow boots said calmly. She's clearly one of the Admin of the villainous team
"Crobat, show these kids who's boss!" A man wearing beige long pants, snow boots, a wool jacket and wool gloves, and the same ushanka as the woman shouted. Like the woman, he's also an Admin.
Both sides prepared themselves for an intense battle, a fight that will help decide the fate of Johto and probably the whole world...
Instantly Chasing, Chasing
That's the person I will be, the flame that burns within one's heart!
Nate looked at Katie for a while before asking, "Katie, how do you feel after all that's happened?"
"I've never been on a more exciting adventure than this, and I'll never regret that moment when I decided to hang out with you and got teleported to this world," Katie beamed. "And I'll always remember that moment I found out about Yo-Kai and your relationship with them."
"I feel pretty much the same way," Nate agreed. "And I'm relieved at that moment you know about Yo-Kai and my secret. It's really hard sometimes to keep a secret sometimes, and definitely not easy."
"Not gonna fight you on that part about secrets. I'll have to say, it's great that I finally know your secret. Now I know you ARE not a weirdo that talks to himself like a crazy person," Katie snorted.
"You should've heard Nate rant about it sometimes. That just proves how much he-" Whisper chuckled, before Nate hit him with his paper fan to shut him up.
"Whisper's right...for once. Nate REALLY lik-" And again, Nate hit Jibanyan with the paper fan.
"Well, sorry about that," Katie sweatdropped, looking at the scene of Whisper and Jibanyan lying down, face literally eating the dirt, but just fine.
"Nah, it's fine," Nate shrugged. "Since y'know the truth and all. But if you do it again once we get back to Springdale and if you can't see Yo-Kai again, no excuse! Like at all."
"Don't worry, I won't," Katie promised. "But really, Nate? I'm hurt you expect me to do that..." The last part was said in a mock hurt expression.
Nate and Katie laughed.

"This battle is between Ash and Misty," Brock announced. "Each Trainer will use three Pokémon. The first Trainer to beat all three Pokémon that belongs to the other Trainer wins. Battle begin!"
"I choose you, Meganium!" Ash turned his hat around. Meganium, newly evolved from Bayleef, spread out the flower petals around her neck, releasing a soothing scent that calms emotions and relaxes aggresive feelings, yet at the same time blunting opponents' fighting spirits. "Meganium!"
"Go, Politoed!" Misty called. Her Politoed appeared-luckily for Misty, Psyduck didn't appear instead- in a flash of light, bouncing up and down in excitement. "Politoed, Politoed!"
"Misty, I won't go easy on ya!" Ash shouted.
"Have you ever? That's what makes battles fun," Misty smiled. "Same goes to you, Ash!"

The flame that burns within one's heart (My life...Yeah)
Ash hugged Misty comfortingly after he noticed that tears filled Misty's eyes. As Misty sobbed into Ash's shoulder, Ash whispered, "Don't worry, Misty... I'm here, and always will be."
A/N: Not gonna lie, this prologue is one of the hardest things to write. I have to fit the lyrics in with the story, watch the opening, and etc. But as always, it's worth it in the end. Great, now I'm being cheesy.
Anyway, this song is Masayume Chasing, one of Fairy Tail's openings, translated to English.
By the way, I'm taking a break from writing fanfics until I'm inspired. Until then...
Favorites, follows and reviews are highly appreciated! C'ya!
