The battle waged all around them as two pairs of eyes remained locked. Blood and fur rained down as hisses and snarls filled the air. Still they stood, staring into each other's eyes. They had been the best of friends but yet were now sworn enemies, and their hearts cried out at the injustice.
Nathan failed to hear the Werewolf approaching him from behind. Nathan turned a moment too late into the beast's claws. Josiah howled and bounded to his rescue. His claws sliced into his pack mate, and instantly the tide turned as one Werewolf stood with the Vampires.
