A/N: As I am writing this on my phone, expect relatively slow updates. I'm gonna be pretty realistic with this story, pokémon can and will die both of natural causes as well as criminal organizations. Pokémon will also become slower and will lose some of their strength when they get older. There won't be levels or rather I won't mention them and there aren't caps (at least the way they are in games) it will be pretty long and will be constantly worked on.

I don't own Pokémon.

It was an awkward sensation for Gold, all of his hard work training and conditioning his pokémon paid off, he had defeated his idol and realized something in the process.

That Red is actually a piss poor battler as Gold easily read his thoughts and strategy. However that wasn't even the most surprising thing to Gold, it is the fact that if he wasn't one of the best trainers and battlers of all time then Red would have easily rolled his way to a cakewalk victory.

"His pokémon are simply several times better than mine- or anyone else for that matter. They were better in all aspects, from the way they perfectly moved and stopping so seamlessly to the perfect precision timing of their moves, it captivated me and made me awestruck to be granted the opportunity to see the closest thing to perfection. The ability to be able to win most matches with the pure ability of his Pokémon alone..

It was frustrating, the best trainer was the worst battler.

They stood silently atop the frozen wasteland of a mountain.

"Alright Red."

Red simply raised one eyebrow to signal that he was listening.

"You're coming with me and becoming the best battler ever. No I'm not giving you a choice in this. I'm gonna create a battlers learning academy and you will be a student there. Once you get to that high level enter a tournament to prove how much better you are then everyone else.

Maybe it was the first time he talked to someone that wasn't a pokémon. It was actually nerve wracking to Gold.

"You think you can tell me what to do?"

Gold gulped.

"Fine. I'll give this academy a trial run."

"Really?" Gold sounded rather enthusiastic.

"It's frustrating however there's no need to hide it from someone who figured it out. I suck terribly at battling and the only reason I became respected by the world was that I am the best trainer to have ever breathed on this planet. I hate it."

"Cool, it won't open for another couple months, I'll send you mail then of where to be."

Gold flew down the mountain as he finally felt satisfaction for what he managed to accomplish.

Funny how complete I feel when there's still so much to be set up and prepare for. Maybe I should try to get Red a girlfriend or two while I'm at it. I somehow managed to get him to talk and accept my proposal. That should mean nothing is out of the question.

Maybe gold respects Red too much as he was getting ahead of himself.
