Kagome sat on the soft grass watching a spectacular meteor shower. She
caught the scent of someone sneaking up on her and yelled out at the top of
her lungs,
"SIT!!!!"
"AUUUGHHH!!!!" Inuyasha curdled as his face planted into the ground. "WHAT'D YOU DO THAT FOR!?!?!"
"You should know by now that I know when someone's watching me!!" Kagome yelled.
Inuyasha painfully crawled over to where Kagome was sitting. "You're evil..."
"SI-!"
"NOOOO!!!!" Inuyasha screamed, quickly covering Kagome's mouth, "I'm sorry!"
He uncovered her mouth and cautiously sat back down next to her.
"Inuyasha?" Kagome asked.
"What is it now?" He said, grumpily.
"I've been thinking. Now that the jewel's complete and Naraku's gone I don't really have a reason to be here anymore...."
"Huh?! What do you mean you don't have a reason to stay here!!!??? You're supposed to be the jewel's protector!!!!"
"I know...." Kagome smiled, looking very sad.
A slight breeze washed over the plains, blowing his and Kagome's hair. Inuyasha looked over at Kagome and gasped to himself....
"You're not kidding are you...." Inuyasha asked, sadly.
"Inuyasha....I don't belong here.... I need to go back and live a normal life." Kagome said looking directly at Inuyasha.
"FEH! What are you blabbering about! You can live a normal life here just like any other place you go!" Inuyasha said stubbornly.
"So...you want me to stay?" Kagome asked.
"FEH! I never said anything of the sort! I was only trying to make a point!" Inuyasha said, blushing slightly.
Kagome smiled and laughed sadly.
"I just want to let you know that when I go back....I'm staying there...."Kagome said.
Inuyasha didn't say anything due to the pain in his heart.
"When I go back...this place...everyone here will be in my heart..." Kagome said.
"Kagome...." Inuyasha said, quietly.
