The Queen was awoken in the early hours of the morning by sniffles and cries. Merlin looked down between her and her husband to see her tiny son squirming in between them, eyes full of tears.
Merlin moved to sit up and then lifted up her baby, cradling him in her arms.
"Hey now, what's wrong?" she cooed.
William made a small noise and moved in his mothers arms. Merlin touched his cheek, feeling his coldness.
"Oh, sweetheart you're freezing!"
Merlin placed William next to Arthur before running other to the drawers to collect some clothes to dress William properly. She picked out some tiny breeches and a loose but thick small tunic.
She walked over to the bed and took away the red material he was wrapped in and dressed him in his new warm clothes. When he was fully dressed he made a happy squeak and Merlin placed the red cloth on the floor.
Merlin smiled at her now grinning child, she tickled his belly and he made an unusual sound and look up at his mother with confusion and love in his eyes.
She smiled down at him before lifting him up and kissing his forehead.
"Come on, Will, time to sleep now."
As if he understood his eyes started to droop and soon they were closed and he was in deep slumber. Merlin placed William back into the bed and climbed in on the right side of him.
"Night, night, my Will."
She kissed his forehead and fell asleep.

This originally was going to be chapter fifteen, with some other stuff but I decide to just do an epilogue and a sequel, so this is a drabble! Enjoy!
