Alright. Crossover number one. I am going to combine two of my favourite series together: The Loud House, of course, and Back To The Future. I don't know if crossovers work well, because I haven't tried one in a damn long time, but anyways, lets get in on this. Please, comment down below. It really helps me cook up content and it keeps me going. Thanks!
October 12, 1986
Marty McFly had just blown out the candles stuck into his birthday cake. It was hard to do so, as his mother, Lorraine, had insisted on attatching eighteen candles to it. The boy's spit flew all around the place as he became more and more breathless. Finally, the last candle was blown out, and Marty slumped back onto his seat, panting.
"Take it easy, son." George, Marty's father, eased him. He gave his son a pat on the shoulder and walked away. After a while, though, Marty finally regained all his strength, and clasped his hands together. "So," he said, "Let's eat cake." His dad then turned on the TV to the Comedy Channel and started laughing away.
"No one wants to eat your spit!" Marty's brother jeered, and soon, his siblings walked back upstairs. "Well, guess you're having the entire cake to yourself." Lorraine said as she walked upstairs to her own room. With a ruined appetite, Marty placed the cake into the refrigerator and went to join his dad.
"Hey, dad. What's showing?" He asked his dad as he pulled over a chair and sat down. "Well," George said in a wandering voice, "This is similar to how me and your mother met."
On the TV, a man was reading a book whilst crossing the road. Suddenly, a car appeared and hit him, causing him to fly into the open window of a teenage girl. George hysterically laughed, remembering how he had climbed a tree just to peep on changing girls bacn in 1955.
"Hey, Marty!" Lorraine called from upstairs, "your telephone's ringing!"
"Coming, Mom!" He responded and ran up the stairs, knowing very well it was his eccentric scientist friend, Doctor Emmett Brown, or as he likes to call him, Doc.
"Hello, Doc?" Marty greeted.
"Marty, Listen up!" Doc enthusiastically exclaimed. "I want you to meet me outside your house in...exactly five seconds. Don't tell me you're sleeping now, it's only ten in the morning."
Marty agreed and hung up. Knowing that Doc was very precise in his statements, he immediately ran down the stairs and paced out the front door. His father was still engrossed in the comedy film, thus allowing the boy to easily slip out. In the garage, a new flying DeLorean had just landed, and the door sprung open, before an old man with white hair stepped out.
"Marty! Get in! I just discovered something!" Doc instructed, as Marty gazed in amazement. Just last year, the original time machine was utterly destroyed by a train. Apparently, Doc had made a new one in less than a year.
"You see, I took the Flux Capacitor from that train I used to get back from 1885 and installed it here..." Doc explained. Marty had mixed feelings. He was ecstatic that the old DeLorean was back, but he was also confused. Hadn't Doc wished for it to be destroyed, especially after BiffCo?
"When I went to the year 2000, I made a striking discovery!" Doc said, "It's actually safe to interact with people without causing a side effect. Also, nothing really changed for thr next fifteen years. Get in."
Marty did as he was told and climbed inside the DeLorean, and Doc hopped in, too, and set the Space-Time Contimuum to the date "12-2-2016". They were going back to the future.
The DeLorean lifted itself off the ground and made a sharp turn that faced the sun, before rapidly picking up speed. As the car hit 88 miles an hour, bright lights engulfed the vehicle and a straight trail of flames formed instead of tire tracks. The car then disappeared into the clouds.
"Say, where's Einstein?" Marty asked, remembering Doc's pet. He usually followed them around, and he was the first dog to travel through time.
"Don't worry. He'll be fine." Doc assured. Back in his garage, Einstein gobbled down the mountain of dog food in his bowl, before a robotic can-opener poured another can of food into the bowl.
Meanwhile, the DeLorean started descending from the clouds, and a snowy little suburb appeared.
"Wait, what year are we in?" Marty checked the Continuum. The last time he had been to the future, there were flying cars and a huge city with gadgets and holograms everywhere. This time, it looked like they hadn't even travelled through time.
"2016, Marty. Apparently I saved some guy was from being killed back then, and he made all the shit we saw." Doc explained as he landed the car in an alleyway, like always. "Welcome to the real universe."
Marty stepped out of the car. The streets were empty and it was freezing cold. Normally, Hill Valley wouldn't be so cold even in the winter, and he was assuming that there was eternal winter in the future.
"Great Scott!" Doc yelled at some sort of controller. There, it had a digital map of the United States, and a red dot indicated their exact location. "Not only did the DeLorean take us to the future, Marty, they also took us to Michigan!"
Upon hearing this, Marty took a step back in horror. Sure, screw-ups were normal, but a time machine taking you a few thousand miles north was very unusual indeed.
"Alright, Marty. Take this," Doc handed a Walkie Talkie to Marty, "Contact me if you need anything. I'll be looking for some power to get this thing back to 1985. In the meantime, feel free to talk to anyone."
Marty looked at a SUV driving by, Unlike card in the 80's, it was so sleek, so streamlined, and it sure looked futuristic. He then glanced at the car's brand logo. Nissan. Judging by the way Nissan was failing back then, Marty was surprised to see it still making cars. He looked around, and people were wearing fur coats and children were holding small, metal sheets. Upon closer inspection, however, it appeared that the children were holding...small, flat screens.
"H-Hey, what is that?" Marty inquired.
"It's a phone. Everyone has one." A boy replied.
"W-Wait, so everyone keeps a small TV in their pocket?" Marty inquired further.
"Where have you been living? Under a rock? Go to the mall and you'll find out." Another boy responded, showing Marty to a nearby bus stop.
Soon, the bus pulled up. It was painted in orange and white, which Marty considered weird as the buses he took were all silver. The windows were also way larger, and the doors were made out of glass.
"Is there a mall nearby?" Marty asked the bus captain. "Why, yes. Do you have a concession card?" The driver replied.
"N-No, what's that?" Marty asked in confusion. What was a concession card?
"A bus pass? Whatever?" The captain was starting to get impatient. Marty produced his buss pass to the unamused bus captain.
"Kid, this junk expired in 1986." He deadpanned.
"Do you accept coins?" Marty asked. Just as the captain was about to kick him off the bus, a white-haired boy wearing an orange sweater and a lumberjack's fur hat came to his aid.
"It's alright. Here you go." The boy tapped his bus pass. Marty silently apologised to the disgruntled captain and sat next to the white-haired boy.
"Nice vest you got there. It looks very old, though." The boy commented. "Where are you from? You seem clueless about everything."
"S-Somewhere." Marty nervously stammered.
"Huh, not very talkative, eh? My name's Lincoln. Lincoln Loud." The boy introduced.
"Oh, Hi Lincoln, Im Marty. Marty McFl-y..." Marty nervously introduced himself in response. "Say, where am I?"
"Oh, you're in Royal Woods, Michigan." Lincoln cheerfully replied.
"M-Michigan?!" Marty exclaimed. He had thought Doc was joking when he said that they were in the wrong area. Now, it was true. He was in the state where drugs, gangs and crime were commonplace. He could only imagine it in the future...
At the mall, Lincoln showed Marty to the nearest phone store, which had the latest mobile phones. Marty ran up to one and started fiddling around with it, wondering how to turn it on.
"Here, let me help you." Lincoln pressed a small button on the right side of the phone, powering it on. "Go on," he said, "swipe the screen."
Marty swiped the screen to the right, causing the phone to display mini app icons. "What is this magic?" He wondered. It had full, clear color photographs, and you could play games and call people on it, and yet it is thin enough to slide into your pocket. It seemed like fitting all the household electronic gadgets into a sheet of metal.
"You seem interested. C-come on, I gotta show you to my sisters." Lincoln pulled Marty along with him. What captivated the teenager was that every corner he turned had a screen. He stopped in front of a Victoria's Secret store and gazed intently at the models walking in a big, flat screen.
Im going to stop here for now. I feel like I did a decent introduction here, and in the next chapter, Marty's big secret will be revealed to the Loud Family. Leave a comment, drop a fav and I'll see you guys next time.
