"Faith, behind you!"

Faith jumped to the side as the vampire brought down the athamaye, rolling to avoid a hard fall. She was back up almost instantly and running towards her would be killer. She kicked him in the chest and he flew through the air, colliding with a tree; his chest was pierced by a protruding branch, and the fatal wound left nothing but a pile of dust behind as proof of the vampire's existence.

Faith turned and walked back to the others. "Thanks for the assist, Kennedy." She said. "Where are we supposed to meet Willow?"

"I'm not exactly sure. She just said she would be here. She said the demon wouldn't be hard to kill with her magic." Kennedy started to tear up, worried about her lover's well being.

"She's fine, Kennedy." Faith assured her. "Willow's got a whole arsenal of magic going for her. I'm sure if she said she could take the demon by herself, then she's probably right."

They kept walking through the eerie forest; the only sounds were the sounds of the two slayers' feet crunching the leaves as they made their way to the cave Willow described.

Willow's eyes blackened as her magic welled up inside her. The demon lashed out at her with his poisonous claws, but Willow threw up her hand, bringing forth a shield-like barrier of magic. When the demon's made contact with the shield it was thrown back against the wall of the cave.

"God of desert, storm, and chaos; Seth, I call upon your wrath." Willow chanted. "Lend me your power and pain, and vanquish my enemy with your destructive rain!"

The power behind Willow's spell flared to life inside the demon and its green, hardened flesh began to smoke as his insides were burned to ashes. It fell to the ground, now nothing more than a lifeless corpse.

"Impressive, I must say."

Willow jumped at the dark voice, despite the power and magic she wielded. She looked around, and as if in answer to her questioning thoughts about who had spoken to her, a woman wearing all black materialized in front of her.

"You have impressive power." She said. "However, you're in over your head. Perhaps you should consider whose agents you're killing before you kill them. It might have saved your life!"

The woman advanced on her, and Willow brought up the shield of magical protection again. However, this didn't stop the woman; she simply reached through it and clutched her cold and powerful hand around Willow's neck.
