Really short one-shot

Really short one-shot. Dedicated to Nick my Kemp

It started in per-k. There was another girl whose name was heather. Together all three of them were best friends. Heather would go over to Dylan's; Dylan lived near Kemp so they would go over to his house. It was always so much fun.

Now 10 years later:

Dylan and Kemp still are in touch. They go to the same school. As for Heather, she goes to a different school that is close. Heather and Kemp still communicate though. They go to the same church and constantly see each other at youth events. In fact, Kemp's father was Heather's conformation teacher and Heather had been over to his house for a party. She had been in his room and before she knew it, she liked him. Things continued to happen and then one day Heather found picture from pre-k. There was one with Kemp and Heather hugging and then one with Dylan, Kemp and Heather hugging. They were all so happy and were all smiling. Then came the one picture. The one Kemp had sent to her in per-k. The picture itself was cut into a heart and on cardboard cut into a heart shape with conversation hearts around it. The picture you ask? It was of Kemp and Heather. It made Heather smiled. She wondered if he still remembered it. She hoped he did. All she wanted was to be his girlfriend and see each other for more than church related thing. She wanted to be his. Too bad that would never happen she thought. She made the mistake and told one of her church friends that she liked him. Then the friend asked him if he liked Heather. His response, not really. It hurt Heather. Everyday, she hoped that he felt something other than that. But she thought dreams can't change reality. And that's reality, them going there separate ways. But in heather's dreams, it was more.

How was it? It basically my life story with a guy. I'm Heather (no that's not my name) and Kemp is the boy. All the events happened. There is a Dylan, but I don't talk to her anymore. I really do wish he felt the same way. Review but no flames as this is a real life happening for me.
