Rebirth of an Eternity
Part one
A beach.
Two children.
A boy and a girl.
The boy was on top of the girl with her neck in his hands.
Tears streamed down his face.
The girl said: "Well? Are you going to do it or not you coward?"
The boy sobbed and the tears fell on her face.
The girl: "I told you. You don't have it in you."
The boy sobs.
In the water a girl stands with no expressions and her light blue hair. She wears a schoolgirl uniform. She is pale and has red eyes. She is an onlooker. Her name: Rei Ayanami.
The boy: Shinji Ikari
The girl: Asuka Langley Soryu.
The waves were grey mixed with a pale blue and blood red. A large head in the distance stood, cut in half by the Evangelion. The blood comes from it as it smirks at the three children.
Another boy comes to the beach. His name: Toji Suzuhara.
Toji: "Come on Shinji. You can do it. Beat that wimp."
Shinji: sobs.
Another pale child with red eyes appears. He has spikey grey hair. His name: Kawrou Nagisa.
Kawrou: "Shinji. If you can kill me why can't you kill her?"
Shinji: "AGHHHHHHHHHHHH! LEAVE ME ALONE!"
Rei: "Ikari."
Shinji: "AGH!"
Rei: "Ikari."
Shinji: sighs.
Rei: "Ikari. Wake up."
A woman in a military uniform appears. She has purple hair and wears a tight skirt with her red jacket. She is accompanied by a man. He is tail and unshaven. The woman: Misato Katsuragi. The man: Kaji Ryoji.
Misato: "Wake up Shinji."
Kaji: "Wake up Shinji."
Everyone: "Wake up Shinji."
"Wake up Shinji! You've got school now!" a woman's voice called.
"Ungg…" Shinji moaned as he got out of his bed.
"Shinji hurry up! Asuka was kind enough to come! So hurry up!"
"All right mom!" Shinji called back.
Shinji: "AGHHHHH!"
The beach reappears and Shinji lets go of Asuka's neck.
Asuka: "You coward."
The rain slowly falls on the dreary city of Tokyo 3. Shinji is sitting alone on a bench waiting for the bus to come. His blue eyes are darkened by self-doubt and his brown hair is soaked. He holds a brown school bag that carries some paper, his walkman, his wallet, and some varied school supplies. A small locket is around his neck. It contains a picture of Misato hugging Shinji lovingly and Shinji trying to get away. He laughs as he looks at the picture.
The bus arrives and opens its door. Inside there is no one. No bus driver and no passengers. Shinji could care less. He took a seat in the back and turned his walkman on.
The bus starts.
Where does it go?
"Where Shinji?"
The sad boy looked up to see Misato standing over him with an expressionless face.
"Where Ikari?" Rei asked.
"Where could you possibly go?" Asuka asked.
"I don't know." The boy whispered.
"What?" the three chorused.
"I SAID I DON'T KNOW!" the boy yelled.
The beach.
Rei stands at Shinji's side and looks at him.
"Ikari, why can't you kill her if you killed me?"
A coward. That's what Shinji is. A coward.
