You bend to the water, see the crystal reflection
You hope for the powers that earn you deflection
You sense you should share this discovery old
But not till you've tried it and your lifes a threshold
You walk from the liquid and feel your worries lift
You think of your enemies, your boundries, your rift
You feel that one day they'll be gone, they'll be dead
But not till the things that lie silent are said
You brush against green ferns and begin to discover
You look all around you, thank your God for your lover
You broadan horizons and widen perception
But not till they realise your hearts true intention
You finally walk to the land of the living
You compare to a spirit, misfortune, misgiving
You vow that you'll see all there is to be seen
But not till you're heart gives off light, has a sheen
You start to look deeper when the noveltys gone
You realise that your flame will go, you'll soon be one
You understand that they're dying, and yet you still exist
But not till you've killed yourself, your only wish
You know that it condemed you to never stagnate
You thought that at first you controlled your own fate
You pray that one day your death will there loom
But not till every man on this earths' built their tomb
You watch innovations be invented and placed
You disagree with most, and your knowledge goes to waste
You accept that one day all people will die
But not till the sun falls out from the sky
You cower in shadow, you know the ends near
You show that fatalities not a prominent fear
You're imprisoned in mind, to be released never
But not till you float through space eternally, ever
You hope for the powers that earn you deflection
You sense you should share this discovery old
But not till you've tried it and your lifes a threshold
You walk from the liquid and feel your worries lift
You think of your enemies, your boundries, your rift
