We blow up a couple of bridges
Percy. watched new york as it silently slept by. he hadn't really ever seen the city like this. It was never... quiet. no car horns, no people talking on mobiles. no monsters in search of demi gods. he sighed, as he saw a column of smoke in the distance. he saw the sea out in the distance. he thought of his dad. posideon. he wanted to be out there in the water, free. he felt the urge to leave his friends to fight alone and run down to the ocean. he shook this thought from his head. he would never leave his friends. especially grover and Annabeth.
Demi-gods were jogging in and out of the Empire state building. the war had begun.
" Percy!" michael yelled. Michael was an apollo camper. " Percy our bidge has been blown just like you ordered."
this was Percy's stratagie. he was going to blow the bridges all apart from the way Kronos's numbers wouldn't be as effective against the demigods.
will the help of the river gods they could keep kronos from reaching the Empire state bulding.
"good work, go to the next bridge." michael scrurried off towards the north bridges. Percy thought to himself about the Prophecy, a soul being reaped, and a hero falling.
yet he knew many would fall, he could not save everyone.a load explosion told him of another bridge. out of the seven tunnels and bridges that there were, two had fallen.
brooklyn bridge would be the bridge that they would not destroy. though there was one worrying thing and that was the fact they had not been attacked. kronos should have already have known of their intentions and that it would be a disadvantage to him. Maybe he thinks no-one can stop him. too stuborn, Percy thought. Annabeth walked up along side him.
" its too quiet. I don't like it." Percy rolled his eyes. duh! he smiled to himself. unfortunetly Annabeth saw him. " percy this isn't funny. we need to be ready for when he makes his move. that could be all to soon." she muttered.
"this evening." he blurted out. she looked at him. his face had lost colour and he put one hand to his head. he winced.
"are you alright." his eyes were wide with horror. he had seen a bit of the future. but to tell Annabeth would make her feel sick and probably get angry at percy for being such a sadist.
" i'm... fine. you should get some shut eye. i'll see you later." Annabeth stared after him as he hurried inside the Empire state building.
he sat there waiting for news of the bridges. two more had fallen. it was all going well. it was came and peaceful, and the plan was working. that was until the runner came in. "Percy" he yelled. he ran over "we got activity at the main bridge." he muttered. Percy looked at the sky. the sun was low. Evening.
"good work oliver" he patted him on the back. " i will go and check it out. Wake Annabeth. tell her to wait for further instructions from me. oh and to assemble a small task force incase it is an attack." he murmered careful not to alarm nearby demigods. oliver nodded and ran to the stairs. Percy turned and ran out of the door. he ran as fast as he could to get to brooklyn bridge.
