"Anyway EVA," Snake pushed her back, as she had gotten dangerously close to his face with those lips of hers again, and pointed at her waist. "What is that?"

EVA followed his finger and then said "Oh, that's right. I brought you something extra, besides your gear."

Snake raised an eyebrow as she untied it from where it had been strung around her underwear. It was a piece of cloth. It looked like something a very very tiny person could have worn as a loincloth, or maybe an apron. She smiled and held it out to him.

"For your eye, I figured it wouldn't do it any good to just let it sit there out in the open."

"So you tied it around your underwear?"

She stuck out her tongue at him, before leaning over to him. He was about to push her away again, to tell her 'No I've got it,' but he was distracted by the view and before he knew it she had tied tightly around his head. He felt it rest at the edges of his perception, brushing up against the border of the undamaged skin.

"How's that?" She asked, her hands sliding down his face, fingers linger around his lips.

"Uh…"

She smiled suddenly. Snake could almost visualize the light bulb appearing over her head. "Wait here a moment." She said sweetly, kissing his cheek as though to seal a promise of more to come before leaving his side. She crossed over to her drying clothes an pulled something out of her pocket. (Maybe. He was too busy staring at her distracting backside to keep track of her hands.) She returned to him however and pressed a small mirror into his hand. Finally understanding, Snake took a good look at his reflection. He was pretty worn out and his face covered in bruises. He mentally cataloged them slowly, pulling and feelling away at his face with his fingers. His nose had been broken. He'd reset it while in the cell block but it was still sort of crooked, probably would be for the rest of his life. Scattered across the rest of his face were various small burns, probably from that maniacs lightning. More conspicuous now than ever was the large black eye patch covering his right eye. He poked at it curiously, as though rediscovering his own face.

"It's itchy," He said finally. EVA plucked the mirror from his hands and smiles, edging closer, placing a hand on his.

"I'm sure you'll grow into it," she said with a wink.
