A/N: This is my first fanfiction which outlines the basics of James and Lily's relationship. It's nothing that you don't already know – it just has an interesting analogy. Enjoy!
Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter. I wish I did… but I don't… you gotta love JK Rowling.
For six long years James Potter chased Lily around and she ran trying to avoid him. It was like a long, never ending game of Cat and Mouse.
In those six long years James' catch phrase was "Hey, Evans! Go out with me?" and the answer was always a straight out "No, Potter." She was settled on the idea that she hated him.
It took a long time to change her mind but in their seventh year, they were both made Head Boy and Head Girl, much to the Marauders' dismay. Lily realised he wasn't as bad as he seemed and when they finally got together everyone was relieved the game had ended.
"Hey, Evans! Go out with me?" James asked her.
"Yes, Potter" She replied.
James grinned and wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her. For the first time in her life, she returned the kiss with just as much enthusiasm as him.
James was the cat and he had finally caught the mouse he had been chasing for years.
A/N: This is probably the worst fanfiction you have ever read in your life. I am so sorry… But please review so I know what you think as well.
