Ok, so, this will be my end-of-summer fic. To those of you who read my stories I must apologise, I don't know how much I'll be on what with school and life and stuff. I have signed myself up for a few writing challenges though so expect at least two more by the first of October. This is for the OC Challenge/Comp by Radient Shadow. The prompt was the song Decoy by Paramore and the quotes are taken from there. And for those of you who didn't figure it out, Giles is my OC
He's got his hands on her hips and she can feel the wall pressing into her back as he kisses her. Victoire fists her hands on his shirt, the fabric feels the same as his shirts and that helps her a bit, it breaks her a bit also. She has her eyes squeezed shut, if she doesn't see him she can convince herself that she's kissing someone else. That it's someone elses hands groping her, that it's someone elses tongue mapping out her mouth. Part of her wish that she didn't have to imagine, he's a perfectly good boy but he isn't him... Suddenly he's a foot away and staring at her, he looks hurt, she knows he knows that she's been thinking about him.
"Giles..." She sighs and and rests her head on the wall.
He shakes his head, "It's okay Vic," he says gently. He'll say anything to keep her with him. He loves her even if she pines for Teddy.
She smiles slightly, despite everything some part of her feels triumphant about knowing she has the poor boy wrapped around her finger.
He sees her smile and pulls her close. She doesn't resist as he hugs her, his hand going to her hair. He doesn't notice her eyes close again as she imagines someone else. Again.
She knows he loves her, she's known that for a while. He'd been one of her quieter admirers and when Teddy left her part way through the year he was the first one to very gently try and put her back together. She's glad he's tried but she knows that for the foreseeable future she won't be able to return his affections. She does feel bad about the way she's treating him, she's not as bitchy as people say she is, but...she just can't help it. She want, no, craves the feeling of being loved and so, even though it's clearly hurting Giles she keeps bringing him back time and time again because no matter what she does he still loves her.
"Hey, I copied some of my notes from Potions for you," he says sitting down beside her on a loveseat. She gives him a small smile.
"Thanks," she replies taking the notes that he offers.
"You're welcome. I was worried about you, where were you?"
"I...just didn't want to go," she says shrugging. She knows he was worried, he's sweet like that, but she can't bring herself to really care. He's wasting his love on her when there are some many girls more deserving of it.
She's pulling him closer for a demanding kiss, her heart aches as she feels his lips press against hers. The action so familiar but not the lips she dreams of. She can't help but make a small sound in the back of her throat. There's no mistaking the sad sound for one of happiness or want but he ignores it even though his poor heart is shattering. His arms wrap around her and dull the pain of her aching heart.
Just as suddenly as she's started this kiss she's shoving him away and shaking her head. He looks confused.
"What was that for?" He asks looking down at her bewilderment clear on his face.
"Because...just because..." Victoire says still shaking her head. Because I'm using you, and I hate that I am, but I love being loved and you love me, even though I don't love you.
