'Lo!
I don't know what happened. I've had the idea floating around my head for a while... I just love the thought of Bolin and Korra comparing muscles.
I don't own the Legend of Korra.
Enjoy...
Korra watches as Bolin and Mako train. She sits comfortably, her legs tucked under her as she studies the carefully calculated movements of the earthbender sending discs through the air to meet bright plumes of fire. Bolin narrows his green eyes and stoops as a ribbon of fire shoots by his head, he stands back to full height and raises his hands. As he does so, four blocks raise from the piles either side of him – two on the left and two on the right. Mako readies his defences but it's not enough against the earthbender's strikes, the discs hit the firebender in the stomach one after another and he falls out of the hastily put up boundaries. His body protectors absorbed most of the blows but his stomach rather ached.
"Ding, ding, ding!" Korra shouts loudly imitating a bell, it echoes around the garden. "And the winner is Bolin!"
She jumps up from her refereeing spot and runs to where Bolin is helping Mako off the ground. Mako dusts himself off and watches as Korra and Bolin engage in an elaborate handshake that involves different stages including at least two fist bumps and one… and one – something that can only be described as a butt bump.
"Who's the best?" Bolin asks, a hand cupped over his ear.
"Am I supposed to say you?" Korra replies.
"Hey!" Bolin protests with a pout. Bolin looks to Mako but he spreads his hands out before him, he wants to see how this lays out. "I'm hurt."
"It's true, I'm ten times better than you," Korra says matter-of-factly, a grin on her face. "You think you could handle this?" Korra gestures to herself. Mako has to agree, although Bolin is a great fighter Korra, the Avatar, would always find a way to beat his brother.
"I think we could," Bolin challenges, a dark eyebrow raised.
Korra furrows her eyebrows and voices the question both her and Mako had been thinking, "We?"
"Yeah, these two and I." Bolin lifts his arms and flexes his admittedly, large muscles.
"What was that? Sorry, I couldn't hear you over these babies!" Korra brings her tan arms together at her stomach and also flexes. The veins in her arms become more prominent and the muscles stand out, she looks to Bolin and smirks, her blue eyes bright.
"Hmm, impressive," Bolin states. "There's only one way to settle this."
Korra places her hands on her hips. "Oh really. Care to enlighten me?"
"Me too," Mako inputs.
Bolin looks to Korra, his face completely serious, his voice level and deep. "We must engage in…" Bolin flings his arms in the air and his voice goes up an octave as he screams, "A cow-piggy back ride competition!"
"Whoo-hoo!" Korra cheers and runs to Bolin. She bounds up behind him and jumps onto his back, she throws her arms around his neck and her legs around his waist. "Let's see how long you can endure this."
Mako brings a hand to his forehead and looks to his shoes. "Spirits… I'll just leave you to it." The firebender walks away from the scene where Bolin and Korra can be heard charging around the garden, laughing and shrieking. It's like looking after two hyperactive children. If he ever meets someone as immature as those two he vows to go hide somewhere far, far away.
Mako reaches his dorm and stands in the doorway, he turns back around before he enters the building; his eyes are greeted with the sight of Bolin laying on the grass, however, still on his back was Korra, squirming beneath his weight but still cackling. Bolin kicks his legs about; he looks remarkably like an upturned turtle duck.
Mako turns with a grin and heads to the shower, laughing as he goes. Those two.
Thank you for reading! Review maybe?
