Prologue

Evolution. The process for a species to change shape. It takes years to develop the process, and it often leads to the birth of a new breed.

Mutation. The key to evolution. It is known to alter human genetic cells, and takes thousands of years to make process. However, as time goes on, mutation takes a new step.

Mutants. Since their existence, mankind has feared, suspected, and hated mutants. However, across the globe, some deny it, while others don't. It is argued whether mutants are a missing link to evolution, or simply a new breed of humankind that fights for the world's safety. Either way, that has never been a true attribute to mankind.

In their fight to protect the world, the X-Men have tried to prevent their existence from being public. Unfortunately, since the Sentinel attack, their existence was made known. They have often been hated and feared by humans, and there was nothing in the world that could erase their memories, even with their mentor, Professor Charles Xavier's mind-altering powers. And now that they have just defeated the first known mutant, Apocalypse, little did the X-Men know they will get ready for their greatest challenge yet....
