I had sat down to have my lunch,
With my pretty girl Pauline.
A loud crash noise came from down the street, and I peaked to check the scene.
The zoo was going crazy, and the apes were on a riot!
My stomach began to gurgle,
I needed to go on a diet.
Then an ape came down the street, and much to my surprise,
The gorilla grabbed my sweet Pauline right before my eyes!
I chased after that crazy old chimp, to get the girl I was after.
But the gorilla found the building site and climbed every single rafter!
It reached the top and found some barrels, adding to my fright,
That ape picked up all those barrels and threw them with all its might!
I ran up the rickety building site, trembling in fear,
Only led by the fact that my favorite girl was near.
I jumped over all the speeding barrels, and climbed up every ladder,
Only making that crazy old gorilla even madder.
I'd occasionally grab a hammer and run,
Bashing those barrels was actually fun.
I reached the top, and I grabbed my girl.
All that jumping made me want to hurl.
The gorilla got mad and grabbed her away,
And climbed up a ladder that led far away.
I thought it was over, but man I was wrong.
I only completed the first level of Donkey Kong.
