I own none of the characters from Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha, I'm only borrowing them for awhile. This is a semi-drabble featuring yuri, if that sort of thing offends you, I'd suggest skipping it.
Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha: Tenderness
Arf paused as the orange haired woman looked down at Fate, the blonde haired girl's head resting in her lap. Her heart ached for Fate, knowing the pain she was enduring searching for the Lost Logia for her mother.
'You do so much for her,' Arf thought, 'push yourself so hard, and all she does is be cruel to you....' Every time Precis hurt Fate Arf felt it deep within her, but she didn't know if it was the connection of a familiar to master... or something more. 'It doesn't matter,' she decided as she gazed tenderly at the sleeping Fate, 'either way, I will protect you.'
Arf stroked Fate's hair, 'And if Precis hurts you again... she'll answer to me.'
