Cling-clang cling-clang goes the chain
The ethereal spindle that rocks me, to and fro, to and fro,
As the specter glides over barren wastes, lost souls in tow
I seek only to breath in their pain
A hunger so deep; a need so great, nothing can restrain
When I glut their life's light into my haunting glow
This unholy purpose vouchsafed to me long, long ago
Lighting the path wrought by the insane
Relentless! Evil! Ghastly! Call me what you will
This malignancy has its worth, to ever make death knells toll
I would consume, consume all, even the specter, then might I fulfill?
Yet, as though I were cursed, with every swallowed soul
Each wisp of agony, the cries of torment, once fuel, now add to the chill
I am hollow, lighting a lie; a part of me cannot be made whole
