Kann Denn Liebe Sünde Sein?
By SMYGO4EVA

The soul cannot choose their own destiny, seeing it chooses them in such a way. What fate has brought together, the pieces are bound to be broken eventually. It cannot tell from friend or foe, and it certainly cannot tell good from evil. It brings power to the darkest of creatures and the purest of souls. When they are of the same body and mind, things would stand in the way of bringing justice forward.

A Pharaoh and a seemingly normal little boy named Yugi – it happens that those two are in love. Yes, through the adventures they shared and the dark hours they have pulled through, they managed to keep feelings for each other a secret until the butter end. It is logical that once that destiny has fulfilled, the Pharaoh must leave the world he doesn't belong in. He would return to his own world, amongst the people who have fallen in his name and those who await his return to the other side. However, he wishes that he wouldn't go, so that he would spend the rest of Yugi's days with him, but sadly, it cannot be so.

Yugi never had courage or willpower before he received the artifact that held the Pharaoh's spirit, but when strange flow of power from within grew, so did the chances of ending up hurt from the inside out. He saw eyes that were black as a sinner's soul and red as blood, monsters that were behemoths compared to the duel monsters he knew, and the impending chance of losing the Pharaoh he knew and cherished. He knew that the time would come, and there was no changing that. He didn't even want to think on what fate had planned for the Pharaoh; lust for power, rage consuming him in the throes of battle, and souls ebbing onto the crevice of humanity.

Was it a sin to love one who looked like you? Can it be a sin to seek affection from one who had what you didn't? Was it a crime to feel in the depths of your heart the affection that you seek in others, but only in the spirit who resembled you but only stronger and more powerful, one who you wanted to become? No one knows that answer, and possibly, they don't want to know. Fate wouldn't exist if everyone had their own way in the tapestry of time, and then again what would everyone about destiny and their reason for existence?

In the end emotions couldn't be denied any longer, and everything took a second step due to the fate that brought the Pharaoh and Yugi together, even if love was rendered emotionless and a sin all together.
