Kise dodged Kasamatsu like a stream of yellow lightning as he jumped up and dunked the ball into the net.

Kasamatsu, a little out of breath, stood up straight and rested his hands on his hips. He took a deep breath and tried to announce, "Good job everyone! Practice's over! Also everyone, remember to pass your upcoming tests! With the inter-school competitive season drawing near, we don't want anyone to risk staying out from the season."

As each player started leaving to the men's lockers, Kasamatsu looked at the tall, small forward and groaned.

Kise, who just recovered from the brunt of practice, heard and saw the captain's groan.

"What the hell was that for?" Kise whined.

"You're the one who gets the lowest grades, moron. My announcement was specifically at you!" Kasamatsu explained blatantly. Honestly, this guy is as blonde as his hair. (Author's note: I know I used blonde as a joke for being unintelligent….but I swear I mean it to be harmless and people still use it :3)

"Senpai, you're so mean!"

"I don't care. I'll kill you if you don't get at least sixty-five percent in all your subjects." Kasamatsu avoided looking at Kise's honey colored eyes as he went to his bag on the bleachers to get some water.

"But Senpai, that's a little too high don't you think?" Kise asked in a higher, whiny tone as he followed his elder peer to the bleachers. Why does his senpai pick on him, from grades to friends to basketball to, what Kise thinks, everything?

Kasamatsu shrugged.

Deep down inside, an idea was tugging his heart.

"Kise, I can teach you." I did get eighty percent plus across all my subjects, Kasamatsu thought.

"What? Really Senpai?"

"Idiot, what did I just say? I CAN TEACH YOU, actually no, I will teach you."

Kasamatsu looked up and realized he made a grave mistake by looking into Kise's eyes. The honey colored eyes seem to be bouncing with joy thanks to Kasamatsu's brilliant idea. Kise's face showed an actor's smile- so dazzling with pearly whites, it was hard to think he was a basketball player.

"We…start today Kise. The sooner…the better." Kasamatsu continued as he gazed into Kise's eyes, trying very hard to remain unfazed by Kise's joyful face. Wait, what was "the sooner, the better" supposed to mean?

"I think you're right Senpai. Let me get changed, yeah?" Kise was about to get up from the bleachers when Kasamatsu pulled Kise back down.

"And one more thing: I believe in you. Don't let me down with your pathetic means of studying," Kasamatsu said, holding Kise's shirt but avoiding to meet Kise's eyes. "Now, go. And in five minutes I want you here ready!"

Kise stared at his captain, surprised by the captain's faith in him, till he realized his time limit.

"Captain, that's so little time! Gah!" Kise complained as he jogged into the men's locker room.

Kasamatsu sat on the bleachers and started to smile. He was elated. Kise and him. Him and Kise.

Alone.

Studying. But it was a start, although Kasamatsu was thinking of other ways to spend their alone time.

Kasamatsu was going to consider these implicit study dates. With that thought, he casually picked up his bag and grinned like an idiot till he reached the men's locker room, after which the grin turned into a frown, just to keep up his "tsundere act" with Kise.

It was hard to frown once the study dates were considered to be implicitly hinted.
